Airport Transfers Amsterdam and Basel

We are going on Viking Heletia in July on the Rhine getaway (Amsterdam to Basel) and were wondering if anyone took a cab from the airport to the ship independently? How far and how much was the cab? The same at the other end in Basel? Any other comments on the trip?

A cab from Amsterdam airpot to the dock will cost about E. 45.,- depending on the traffic.

Be sure you know where your ship docks as there are 3 possible dockingplaces. All around Centraal Station.

If you are docked near Centraal station you can take the train from the airport then walk or take a taxi
