Guarantee question. Do cabin assignment only happen on weekdays?

I am 50 days out and don't have a cabin assignment yet. Just wondering if the cabins are assigned during the weekdays only. If so, I might as well not check the website on weekends. No big deal, just curious.

This will be our first cruise on Carnival and can hardly wait.

Are you on the Valor? We are sailing on the Valor

Oct4 out of Miami and have a balcony guarantee, and no assignment yet either. Anxiously waiting and checking everyday as well. I'm hoping it means we'll get a great upgrade, as it looks like there are at least 10 cat 11 cabins left!!

You will only see about 9 cabins in any category--dosnt mean there isnt any more left. no cruiselines will show you more.

Some people dont get assigned til the day before they are leaving.

Do not ever give your luggage to the porter without confirming your assignment. You could still be moved.

Most assignments are within the category

Nope, we're on the Legend out of Tampa on Oct 4. I'm not concerned about not having a cabin assigned yet. I was just curious to know if cabins are ever assigned on Saturdays or Sundays.

Last Carnival cruise with a GTY booking, we did not receive a confirmed assignment until we saw the manifest at the pier. It was worth the wait, as we booked an inside and got and outside view.

If they do assign a cabin, I suppose it would only be on weekdays, but I don't know for sure.
