  1. And right now it’s an hour and 7 minutes. It’s important to keep timing in the decision, getting into manhattan from NJ is a bridge of tunnel. Many people in my area work in NYC, it’s a least an hour commute, port authority is 12 miles away. NYC traffic is my local traffic. Ride share will be more from NJ.
  2. Haven suites are way more expensive than 2 balcony cabins. The gratuity on the UBP is $21 pp pd. If you drink more than one alcoholic drink a day, you are on the financial winning end. I personally love the Gem, spinnakers lounge and the great outdoors are my favorite spots.
  3. We cruised fleet week, it was going on during our departure, we were instructed to park at 90 next door, forgot that for a minute when we docked but eventually found our car.
  4. I guess they can’t, which is why there are thousands of displaced US citizens separated from their families, due to not having passports.
  5. I’ve paid corkage on wine at the manhattan cruise terminal on every ncl I’ve been on.
  6. I just paid $75 a night for hotel parking in Boston. We cruise out of manhattan, $45 a night.
  7. Currently LGA is 44 minutes, Newark is 54 minutes, jfk is 64 minutes. I live in NJ, I’d stick with LGA.
  8. I put an item in my online kohls shopping cart, 15% off, 20% off, 30% off, price never changed.
  9. NCL is unique as they allow you to bring on as many bottles as you wish, if you take the $21 pp pd package you can bring on as many bottles as you wish for free.
  10. I’ve driven, flown, and trained to Boston from the nyc area, train is my favorite, all take about the same amount of time (including the 2 hours early for airport security). My daughter is in grad school there are she takes the train a lot more than flying (we are 20 minutes from EWR).
  11. Uber drivers are fine, taxi drivers don’t make the trip because they are legally prohibited from getting fares back to the city.
  12. Boston to NJ is an easy Amtrak, and cheaper.
  13. Actually with thanksgiving on the 28th I wouldn’t expect many children, since most just get the days off later in the week.
  14. At my large international airport there is no southwest. United basic economy is our go to, no price drops, fee to cancel and get a credit.
