Long time cruiser and Just off reflection. I have thought about this often, just want to invite comments. The toilet paper that is used on Celebrity, and Royal is very low quality. I would say I use three times the amount on a cruise ship than at home with the trusty Charmin. Is there a trade off between cost and usage? Better quality less usage? So I guess the Vice President in charge of purchasing toilet paper at the royal group has it figured out. By the way Reflection las week was wonderful, except the toilet paper.

This is exactly what I would have said. I collect Invicta, 20 +. I also will say you can own some very high quality Swiss made invictas for a very reasonable price. And no, do not buy on any cruise ship.

Going in January. Four sea days though.

My wife and I get into a little routine. After breakfast we always go to the bar there and get two bottles apiece. At night when heading back to cabin we grab a couple bottles, any bar will have water. On the way to shore excursions they have water set up before going ashore to grab. You will get into a routine when to grab water.

I guess if you have not done Tulum, probably should. Prepare for a long day. Ferry is one hour fifteen one way. Two and a half total. If I remember, bus to tulum was a long ride. Yes, crowds will greet you. And yes, expect crowds in Cozumel.

We are kind of like you. Many RCI cruises, actually one cruise from diamond plus. We switched to Celebrity, we probably won’t sail Royal Again. Take a Celebrity cruise, you will see and feel the difference.

We were on Reflection two weeks ago. Very nice ship. Very clean, food was great. One of our best cruises. lawn club grill!!

And, why not all day like RCI. Why just 5-7?

DW and I are on this cruise currently. I can answer a couple of un answered questions. Internet very slow. Better early and late. Embarkation, very fast for us. We had 1pm, arrived 12:15, walked on. Someone mentioned they were surprised we went to Sydney. Us also. When we left, I have never been on a cruise ship going as fast as we were. I think the Captain cut it very close. I monitored our position and weather radar and we were just ahead of the edge of storm. Very rough and windy then and now. Fun fact. When docked in Canada, they require Royal to have only one bar open per deck. Very odd. So yesterday we hit all the indoor bars. Here is something to chew on. So we headed to crown lounge. Closed for Pinnacle only. Wow. We peaked in and there were 3 members inside. At the Sam time the diamond lounge on this ship is very small, cramped. Maybe a swap is in order, just saying. I am not much of a review guy but here are a few. Ship could use some work. Not sure what the schedule is, could use a dry dock. Food OK, Service good. Drinks good. Here is something: This was the first cruise back in the states for the ship. The casino is set up for European taste. Meaning, no video poker, no tradition slots, haywire etc. no Craps. I asked and was informed they will transition back to add and remove. Tim

Yup no problem. My wife uses vouchers, but not all. I have bought drinks for freinds with vouchers.

Thinks about this. In march we had trouble finding times for chops that was good for us. Settled at 6pm. We arrive and the place was maybe 3/4 full the time whole we were there, outdoor seating was almost empty. We asked about this and was told they were short staffed, they reserve only as much as staff can handle. He did say however if anyone walked up without reservation, you would be seated. So, you should not have a problem all showing up at 6pm. Now saying this, in march they were sailing at reduced capacity.

Well, thanks so much for the great discussion on this topic. As for the three days before the first Canadian port. I would like to hear from cruisers that filled it out before they boarded the ship, more than three days before, and it was ok. I think I saw one comment that she did this before leaving Hawaii headed to Vancouver. After all it’s passport and vaccination records, which in itself not time sensitive.

We got our diamond pins sent to us 12 years ago. There is a little chip of diamond in the pin, or a chip of glass, not sure.

Works great for us. Mrs gets the beverage, I get DBP. 8 diamond drinks is more than enough for her. You must call to do this, will not let you do it online.
