  1. If you're not Platinum or Elite, then after you've made final payment. I can currently make reservations for my Dec and Jan cruises, but am Elite..
  2. You don't need reservations for the MDR. Walk-ups are happily accommodated, possibly with a short wait, depending on dining time.. Sterling Steakhouse is/was a portion of the buffet. Back corner. Screened off and setup with white linens, flowers, table service, etc just like CG. While yes, buffet area, it didn't really feel like it and it was somewhat screened off an private - no doubt the new venue is similar in setup.. Instead - for a truly memorable and amazing intimate romantic anniversary meal - consider the Ultimate Balcony Dinner. $110 total for two. Includes a four course meal served course by course, with filet and lobster, welcome cocktail, half bottle champagne, flowers you keep and a photo you keep. It's amazing, delicious, paced really well, the staff is usually quite unobtrusive and anticipatory. So much more special and intimate than banquet dining in MDR or specialty - and minimal extra cost, particularly with the included drinks and keepsakes.. Happy anniversary and enjoy.
  3. It's tea, scones, pastries and sandwiches, delivered to the stateroom. Order for one as it's a LOT of food, more than enough for 2, easily.. usually needs to be ordered the day before, or at the latest by 9am day of Its a great set-up for an afternoon nosh, particularly after a shorter port day or lazy sea day. Setup is standard - 8 mini alcohol, 2 beers, 2 still water, 2 sparkling water and 6 sodas/mixers. What booze depends on ship. Usually 2 vodka, 2 gin, 2 scotch, 2 cognac. You can trade like for like, all booze for one type of booze, all non-alcoholic for different non-alcoholic, entire setup for all non-alcoholic or entire setup for a single bottle of wine.. (from a small list).
  4. Yes, Casual dining for a few is new since 2022. It was introduced in Aug 2023. Different ships have different venues, and some ships without any of the dedicated standalone venues have pop-ups in the specialty or buffet for lunch or dinner. So, pay attention to the dining section of the Patter daily if they interest you.
  5. The Enclave is not segregated by gender. It's mixed, women and men. Appropriate clothing necessary..
  6. You can't reserve casual dining in advance of sailing. And basically, only Planks and Steamers take reservations, aboard, a day or two in advance. Call DINE line, go to the venue itself, etc to make reservations. Can't do it via the app, even aboard.. As they alternate each night, you only have a couple nights for either - and they do get busy, given how many people have packages including casual dining....
  7. CB has Vines, Planks and Steamers for casual dining.. Planks and Steamers alternate each night. They are aft on the buffet. All ships have Casual dining options. The venues vary by ship.
  8. Yes. The suite breakfast is still being served in a specialty restaurant, Sabatini's the last time I was aboard CB.
  9. Island and Coral aren't tiered sides/wedding cake style like Grand/Gem class ships. Balcony would be same size..
  10. M followed by a numerous and C followed by a number are the Reserve minis and cabana minis. M or C followed by a letter, not Reserve. Deck plan clearly shows which are Reserve and which are not. After mid Oct, 2024 - all the Reserve Minis (M) will switch to Sanctuary Club. The current Reserve Cabana do not switch to Sanctuary Club, they become Cabana Deck Minis, and don't include Reserved dining but donl include the Cabana deck access. If you booked your Reserve Cabana Cabin before April 23, 2024 - you have all the perks included at the time of booking, including Reserve dining... Confusing as heck and dumb to make changes less than 2 months after setting sail that take place months later, and aren't all that clear (seriously, why not just launch it that way, it's not like they dreamed it up in the 6 weeks the ship was sailing!) - but there you go...Sun Princess in a nutshell, lol..
  11. Yes, there's a salad bar in the buffet, several salad options on the MDR menu, Buffet has fruit available all day. Sandwiches and salads, sometimes wraps, at International Cafe. No, the pizzeria on deck is solely pizza, by the slice mainly. Room Service/Ocean Now has salad, sandwiches, fruit plates 24/7. The lido grill has griddled chicken breast sandwiches.. There's a Caesar on the always available menu for dinner. Whether you consider it good - 🤷🏻‍♀️. Caesar isn't exactly a healthy salad choice - that would be oil and vinegar... If you're watching fats... (Or carbs, for that matter)..
  12. Princess absolutely will refund your specialty dining purchase if you cancel aboard and rebook.. it's refunded as refundable OBC, so you could simply cash it out in the casino...
  13. Bringing food aboard is - generally - not an issue. We've brought back family catering for our band friends (singers mom catered a major meal for her daughter and the band), we brought on 4 boxes of food. No questions beyond what smelled so good! Pastries and cheese and chocolate and ham and such on Med sailings. Conch fritters and jerk chicken from Jack's in Turks Accra and chicken & bakes in St Lucia. Ramen for bartender friends. Heck, brought 6 wicked rum punch cocktails back aboard in St Kitts - security held them for us as we went through the metal detectors and gave them back after... Go figure... And so forth... Bringing food OFF the ship is generally a no-no, unless factory sealed/prepackaged - and not seeds or nuts, etc.
  14. On Sun, where S9 and Sanctuary suites are located - the Mimosa breakfast is in the Signature restaurant. When it changes to Sanctuary in October - it remains to be seen how it's handled..
  15. That has not been our experience, on any of our YC cruises. We've specifically asked if we needed to stick around and have been shooed out, told nope not a problem, etc. We've always taken off and come back to a well organized fully unpacked cabin..it's delightful. We do not have valuables in our luggage - those are in the safe immediately upon arrival to the room .
