flyboyswife Posted March 22, 2012 #1 Share Posted March 22, 2012 Looking to book the Pearl this weekend for a cruise next month! I'm comparing rates through different vendors. Two vendors are offering a coupon book they claim has a $400 value...has anyone received this booklet? I don't believe that it is specific to the pearl. If you have/had this or something similar, can you tell me more about it? The best price I have is about $300 less but no booklet. If we are not going to use the majority of the coupons, I'd rather get the cheaper fare. I'm particularly interested in restaurants, drinks/wine, spa and photos. Thanks much! rrobynec Posted March 22, 2012 #3 Share Posted March 22, 2012 Go for the cheaper fare. Almost all the "coupon" items you can get onboard at some point during the week (with the exception of buy 3 get 1 specialty cover free, and the 15% off wine at specialty)
Pikaia Posted March 22, 2012 #4 Share Posted March 22, 2012 Go for the lower fare. You can print the exact same coupons out yourself using links you can find on this forum.

bristecol Posted March 23, 2012 #7 Share Posted March 23, 2012 Where did you get a $300 discount? An online site?
Rare shof515 Posted March 23, 2012 #8 Share Posted March 23, 2012 Where did you get a $300 discount? An online site? Dont think there is a thing called 300 dollar discount. The only thing there is those future cruise coupons that you can use on your next cruise
Pokeraddict Posted March 23, 2012 #9 Share Posted March 23, 2012 The NCL coupon book is not worth the paper its printed on and I wish NCL would change it as my comment has been posted here numerous times along with many others who feel the same. AttilaTheFun Posted March 23, 2012 #10 Share Posted March 23, 2012 A link to this "coupon book" was included in our e-docs for Epic. Funnily enough, the coupons I would actually use (5% off duty free, buy 3 specialty covers get 1 free) are not valid on Epic. Thanks NCL

Demonyte Posted March 23, 2012 #12 Share Posted March 23, 2012 See the comments in red. There is a coupon for "$100 Bid Credit for use toward any Collector’s Portfolio Artwork" and there is also a "coupon" (read: advertisement) for normal Freestyle Cruise Reward from which you'll get the $100 OBC. The link to the latest coupons is in the thread I linked here earlier: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showpost.php?p=32956566&postcount=
flyboyswife Posted March 24, 2012 Author #13 Share Posted March 24, 2012 The $300 discount I referred to regards the difference in price for the cruise as quoted by a big warehouse club's travel dept. They were significantly less than booking direct with NCL and $300 less than a discount website. Don't mean to be vague, I'm under the impression that I can't name names on CC. If I'm allowed to disclose names, I'm happy to share.
