Tananda Posted September 24, 2017 #1 Share Posted September 24, 2017 I just realized that Mom and I will be on the NA for Easter next year. I am assuming that there will be an Easter service. Is there anything else that we can expect? Thank you! Sent from my SM-G930T using Forums mobile app
Hflors Posted September 24, 2017 #2 Share Posted September 24, 2017 I would think more kids onboard. I am sure it will be spring break at that time.
Tananda Posted September 24, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted September 24, 2017 Hflors, we cruised over spring break last year. It was not Easter, though. I was surprised at how few children we saw. I kept joking with Mom that at 46 I was still one of the 50 youngest on the ship. HA was amazing and took such great care of us. Mom tells everyone she meets to book with them. Krazy Kruizers Posted September 24, 2017 #4 Share Posted September 24, 2017 Yes, there will be an Easter Service. Some ships have decorations in the Lido -- others nothing.
SilvertoGold Posted September 24, 2017 #5 Share Posted September 24, 2017 If you like foil wrapped chocolate Easter eggs, check out the Lido and MDR. (Hint, but don't tell anyone: the Front Desk has a stash beyond what they put out on the counter.)

avian777 Posted September 24, 2017 #8 Share Posted September 24, 2017 As to whether or not there will be Roman Catholic services on HAL cruises over the Easter weekend, the answer is "Yes". HAL has a Roman Catholic priest on every one of its cruises and, thus, Mass is offered every day and not just on Easter Sunday. RMLincoln Posted September 25, 2017 #9 Share Posted September 25, 2017 I have attended Interdenominational Easter services on a HAL cruise before, very nice. No guarantee as to what they will have in the future but more likely than not for such a major occasion. m--.
DoggyDaddy Posted September 25, 2017 #10 Share Posted September 25, 2017 We were on a TA several years ago (Niew Amsterdam) . They had a very nice Easter Service (Catholic Mass) in the Showoom. It was fairly well attended. DD
cartervan Posted September 25, 2017 #11 Share Posted September 25, 2017 Over the past few years we've been cruising twice on HAL on Easter. There was no special attention paid except for a very early morning service.
Rare kazu Posted September 25, 2017 #12 Share Posted September 25, 2017 We were on at Easter on the Rotterdam this year. Along with the services which have already been addressed.... I posted pics of the lovely chocolate bunnies and eggs on display and of our chocolates that night which were two little Easter bunnies and two eggs on my live thread. Very cute. The MDR menu was very good - reminiscent of different things served at Easter. Very nicely done IMO.
