Civitavecchio dining recommendations

Four of us will be in Civitavecchia two nights and need restaurant recommendations. Two of us love seafood; the others don't, so we hope to find a restaurant that serves seafood and traditional non-seafood Roman fare, such as bucatini all' amatriciana, cacio e pepe, saltimbocca, etc. Any suggestions?

I don't have a recommendation but as I will be staying one night in Civitavecchio next month I looked on Tripadvisor where there were several listed along with their websites (some of which were entirely in Italian).

I arranged a pre-cruise dinner at Alta Marea. Delicious food! Great service!

The waterfront pedestrian esplanade runs from near the train station right up to the cruise terminal entrance. Just stroll along and take your pick from heaps of good eateries. Civitavecchia is a lovely port town ,great shopping. Want to stay there pre or post cruise then try Hotel Miramare on the waterfront. Book direct on line via hotel website to avoid paying middleman commissions. In the summer months Civitavecchia is lovely and cool whereas Rome can be a furnace especially in August .

We are staying at Tenuto del Argento this year and had our pre-cruise dinner at the restaurant there last year. Looking forward to eating there again this year. The food was wonderful.

We're in port on a Monday and don't plan to go to Rome as we've visited recently & also it looks as if there are 6 or 7 other cruise ships in port that day!

We plan a stroll around and lunch. Will there be a good choice of places to eat on a Monday?

We asked an NCL girl that lives in Civitavecchia if she had any recommendations for a good restaurant and she suggested, Pizzeria Del Ghetto Di Ughetti Paolo at the Via Luigi Cadorna.

Its just behind the old fort. It doesn't have a big menu but the food was great.

I had an excellent dinner and great evening at Ristorante da Baffone in Civitavecchia. http://www.ristorantedabaffone.com/ It's near the waterfront in town.

Rather than creating a new thread, I'm resurrecting this one. Due to time constraints, we are bypassing Rome this trip and staying in Civitavecchia the night before our October 21st Transatlantic. We will arrive in Civitavecchia mid morning and are looking for lunch and dinner recommendations. We are staying one night at Hotel Miramare and enjoy outside dining, weather permitting. Any other "must dine" recommendations on or near the esplanade?

We were impressed with Trattoria Il Delfino, quite near Hotel Miramare. We've also eaten at Capo Horn several times. Not so near the sea front, but really good risotto.
