KENLORJUS Posted November 13, 2016 #1 Share Posted November 13, 2016 Hi everyone. Looking for assistance with hotels in Vancouver. First hand experience would be best. Close to center city, not interested near cruise terminals due to cost. There for two nights so if you have recommendations on things to do that would be great. Thanks in advance. Kamloops50 Posted November 13, 2016 #4 Share Posted November 13, 2016 Arriving June 1 check out June 3 Try this link http://www3.telus.net/cruise_watch/info.htm http://www.cruiseporthotels.com/ There are also on line sites that have prices . Vancouver is an expensive place for hotels during the summer tourist season. Hotels will rate from $200 CDN and up.

liptastic Posted November 14, 2016 #7 Share Posted November 14, 2016 We stayed 2 nights per cruise in August at the Four Seasons. Excellent service and standards. Location was perfect for us. Previously we stayed at Fairmomt Waterfront but I have to say we preferred Four Seasons for location and service. Jean.
KENLORJUS Posted November 14, 2016 Author #8 Share Posted November 14, 2016 Thanks xlxo and liptastic. I was leaning towards Blue Horizon 1st and Rosedale 2nd so you were very helpful. Sent from my iPad using Forums
sitraveler Posted November 14, 2016 #9 Share Posted November 14, 2016 We stayed at the Blue Horizon. Very comfortable and convenient. Actually took the HOHO from the pier to the hotel.
Kamloops50 Posted November 14, 2016 #10 Share Posted November 14, 2016 We stayed at the Blue Horizon. Very comfortable and convenient. Actually took the HOHO from the pier to the hotel. I think the Blue Horizon is closed or going to be. There was some talk that it was going to torn down and replaced with a new tower.
KENLORJUS Posted November 14, 2016 Author #11 Share Posted November 14, 2016 Thanks for the information. I will need to ask about that. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
xlxo Posted November 14, 2016 #12 Share Posted November 14, 2016 I think the Blue Horizon is closed or going to be. There was some talk that it was going to torn down and replaced with a new tower. Really? I heard the Empire Landmark across the street was heading down. As long as they have low prices and taking reservations.... i'm interested. Especially for the restaurants that are in the neighborhood. Sent from my Passport using Forums mobile app

Putterdude Posted November 17, 2016 #15 Share Posted November 17, 2016 Vancouver's downtown is quite compact so all of the downtown hotels are pretty much within a mile of Canada Place. However, here is a list of many 3*+ hotels that are within 6 to 8 blocks of Canada Place: The Pan Pacific (part of Canada Place) Fairmont Waterfront (across the street from Canada Place) Fairmont Pacific Rim Marriott Pinnacle Pinnacle Hotel-Harbourfront (not to be confused with the Marriott Pinnacle across the street) Hyatt Regency The Shangri-la Fairmont Vancouver Hotel Auberge Coast Coal Harbour Delta Suites The Metropolitan Four Seasons Rosewood Georgia Sutton Place (about 8.5 blocks) Sheraton at the Wall Centre (about 10 blocks) le Soleil The Wedgewood One hotel that I have left off the list and that is only because it is about a mile from Canada Place is the Blue Horizon. It has a great location on Robson, close to many restaurants, has HOHO stop out in front and is extremely popular with cruisers. With most hotels in the downtown core you will find that about $10 will cover a cab fare to Canada Place.
