It is only about a mile from the port!!

I highly recommend it!!!

The Riverside Hotel is the only one right on Las Olas (620 E. Las Olas) and is highly recommended on this site (just do a search). It even has a nearby water taxi stop.

with all the talk of nice hotels in the downtown fll area - which one is a nice one for just one night and in close proximity to Timpano Restaurant on OsLos Blvd????

thanks carol

Stay at The Riverside Hotel and you can walk to Timpano. I LOVE their meatballs!!

There are only 2 hotels in downtown Ft. Lauderdale: Riverside and Hampton Inn. Riverside is in a much better location, very nice, in the middle of the nicest part of the city. Hampton Inn is only a few blocks away, but it's on a block that is quite isolated at night and on weekends, and it's close to a higher crime area, so I wouldn't walk around there.
