jacksmom09 Posted July 20, 2016 #1 Share Posted July 20, 2016 Wondering cost, distance from port, how to get there, etc. Any reviews would be great.
grantbob Posted July 20, 2016 #2 Share Posted July 20, 2016 Depends on which pier you dock at, but none of them are within walking distance. Good news is there are plenty of cabs and they aren't too expensive. From Carnivals pier it's like $12 each way for up to 4 people. Not much Sandy beach area, but good shore snorkeling and a great restaurant and bar. Check out their website for pics. Fabulous way to spend a day if you like to snorkel. JohninDC Posted July 20, 2016 #3 Share Posted July 20, 2016 http://moneybarbeachclub.com/ As mentioned above, taxi for 4 will be $10-12 each way. Good facilities, lockers, rental gear and guides if you need them. Good snorkeling form the shore plus good food/drinks/service. No beach, but a sandy area for sunning and relaxing. Spend all day or just an hour or two before heading off to another beach or downtown for dinner/shopping

I'm new at these cruising and traveling to Mexico thing, sorry to say that I'm a bit nervous about getting sick from the food and drink. Please advise. thanks! Cozumel is a tourist destination and everyone depends on tourists spending their money there. The LAST thing they want is for people to get sick. Yes, the food is safe within reason. Don' eat any food - just like back at home - that has been sitting out in the sun. Purified water is standard on the island, for drinking and ice, too. I ate at the Money Bar several weeks ago and had no issues! The quality of food was wonderful, and I believe most of these places on the island that are better knows and very careful with purified water/ice, etc. I had mahi mahi tacos and refried beans. :p
