Recommendations for Baltic Sea Cruises

I have been reading about Baltic Sea cruises, and I am attracted by Windstar (the Windsurf) because of the casual nature of the cruise. However some of the reviews seem so-so.

Can folks who have been on Baltic Sea cruises both on Windstar and other lines please comment.

Thanks,

Sue

The windsurf is a very different ship from the other ships that are more often mentioned here. Different is not better nor is it worse. It is just different. With about 300 passengers it will be a different experience from the large cruise ships that typically hold 2000 to 6000 passengers. These smaller ships are not for every one.

Only you can decide if they are for you.

Baltic is a great cruise I would go for the 12 day and make sure to get the overnight in Russia. This a VERY port intensive cruise so the cruise line or ship should matter little .If you are sure you are a small ship person than go with it, if you are not sure I would go with a main stream line.
