NCL Sun Refurbishment

Does anyone know when the Sun is scheduled for a refurbishment? I have been reading several posts that comment that it is beginning to show age. I think its last update was in 2011.

Usually ships are on a five year rotation which would mean 2016.

You do realize that every time a ship goes into dry dock, it might not have anything done to it other than checking the tire pressure and changing the oil. Ships are constantly being 'refurbished' while they are cruising. New chairs, carpets changed out, some painting being done, casino changes etc.

The sun is a lovely ship just the right size hopefully she will be around for another 10 to 15 years

Just off Monday, I heard it stated at one of the officer chats that NCL has a 4 year cycle. She looks quite good for a gal her age.

We're looking forward to our Sun cruise next April. I'm not impressed with the Breakaway/Getaway/Quantum ships and prefer smaller ones. It seems that the balcony cabins and balconies themselves are getting smaller in order to pack more folks in. I'd give up flow riders, zip lines and climbing walls in favor of a ship with some "personality".

We cruise in January 2016 to SA. Dry dock after that to add more suites, restaurant changes etc, glad we will sail before we lose the extra viewing area.

I was on the Sun last December and in our room, the carpet was bad, it was ripped and some pieces were simply gone. But the size of the room was bigger that any of the Jewel class ships.
