Have 2 teen boys and are looking at a cruise that has Aruba in it.

What do you recommend is good to do with them? Beach? Tour?

Thanks

A day pass,

Think it is about $80.00 for adults much less for children.

Towles, beds, food, drink, snorkell etc all included, all in a safe environment.

Send the Hotel an E-mail regarding availability and prices for your date.

Also, below does day passes and is a short walk from the port.

Again contsct for prices and availability

It depends on how long your ship is docked and what your interests are. On every cruise, I am the type that has to see a place for myself. I like to venture away from the cruise masses, that will stay downtown. If you love water then go to Palm Beach(high rise) and enjoy the beach and sun(lots of water activities). Eagle beach is also nice, but quieter. I personally am not a fan of day passes, some people swear by them. I feel it isolates you from getting to experience a place that you will want to visit again. Aruba is very tourist friendly. Every American Resturant you can think of is on the island(not a fan). Easy to travel on local buses that leave from downtown. If you have time check out ABC tours-they will pick you up. We did a Jeep tour of the island in 2011(we were on the island for 9 days)- I think it was 4 hours and my daughter who is now 14 still talks about that tour. In 2013 we did not do a tour, we rented a car for a day(again did a land vacation to Aruba)and we spent everyday on the beach.

Jeep Tour or day on Palm Beach.

They will love the excitement and adventure of a jeep tour.

They will love all of the watersports on Palm Beach.

If they like snorkeling look into an excursion on the Jolly Pirates.

Is there a place to do these watersports on Palm Beach or you just go there?

Is there a company you recommend to do a jeep tour?

I had two teens on our cruise to Aruba in 2013 and we took Jolly Pirates...they absolutely loved it! The snorkeling is great, but the best part to them was the rope swing off the boat. After the tour, there was time to hang out on Palm Beach and we did one of the seats that are tied behind a speed boat and had a blast.

Yes, as Arubalisa mentioned, it is a private excursion, so not through Carnival. I highly recommend them. If you search this forum, you will find lots of reviews for their tour.

  • 2 weeks later...

Do they drive? We just did a jeep tour with EL Tours (Wendell was our guide) that I arranged ahead of time. He picked us up at the ship and then another couple from a hotel and that was the tour group. We drove our own jeep and followed him to all the noteworthy sites but mostly off paved roads. It was great fun even for us old folks and the young couple with us had fun too. The roads are rough and bumpy so a lot of fun. I would think a teenage driver would have a blast. It was only $75 for 5 hours.
