1st time to Bermuda-few questions??

Hi, My first time to Bermuda and even though I have read Cruisecritic "Bermuda Board Posts", I still am unsure of a few things. Or. maybe I should say, I'm still confused about a few things. I am planning on buying the 3 day ferry/bus combo pass and have read that I can buy the pass at the small info building just outside the gate at King's Wharf. For any recent cruisers,

1.Is this true and what is the price?

2.Is much open at the Dockyard on Sunday?

3. Quickest way to get St. George? Is there a direct ferry right at King's Wharf and, if so, is it a part of thr 3 day pass combo ticket. If not, where do I purchase tickets for this ferry?

4. What bus would I take to get to Horseshoe Bay and how far is it from King's Wharf.

5. Is there gambling at night on the Norwegian Dawn when it is docked in Bermuda?

My boyfriend and I booked this cruise very last minute and don't have a lot of time to do much research. A friend suggested Cruisecritic for some help. Hope some of you have the answers. Thanks Seline

3 day pass is $35 each . We bought 10 tokens for D.W. and I for $40 and had a couple left over . Also a trailor between heritage wharf and king's wharf for tix & tokens

Sundays pretty Quiet .

Buses marked Special go directly to horseshoe and back 20 min ride . #7 bus goes to all south shore locations, time varies .

The ferry is best and fastest way to St. George But does not run Sundays .

Casino opens on the ship from 9 pm till 5 am " I think thats the hours "

If you're on the Dawn, you walk down Heritage Wharf to the loop where the buses/taxis are and you'll see the trailer for the Transportation passes on your left.

As posted, there is not a direct ferry to St Georges on Sunday; no guarantees how much is open there without lots of visitors... We just got back. I would suggest getting only a 2 day bus/ferry pass as they don't run on Sundays. There is a little shopping, restaurants, and Snorkel Beach $5 entry (really pretty but crowded) that an fill your Sunday.

St. George ferry leaves direct from Dockyard area at 9:30 or 11:30 and a takes 20 minutes.

Special bus will also go straight from Dockyard to Horseshoe Bay (you can't miss ferry and bus area as they're pretty much visible from ship). I'd say that takes 30 minutes.

Of note, bus/ferry booth is sort of straight ahead on at where the ships dock and they only take cash!

There are a few bars right there also... (bonefish and Frog/Onion, and a late night party at Snorkel Beach on Monday night hat my daughter enjoyed w dancing and Norwegian vs Royal Caribbean drinking games which also a lot of locals go to.

We left last year on July 27th and arrived in Bermuda on Sunday. We got our bus pass and took the bus to Somerset Bridge Village and rented a couple of boats for the afternoon. It was really fun to travel around the area and check out some amazing beaches. We did reserve the boats in advance of our cruise. Not sure if they would still have boats available for a last minute trip. You could check. No real experience is necessary. They give you lessons on steering the boat and maps as well. Enjoy Bermuda. We sail on Sept 6th, the second half of our first B2B doing New England/Canada first and then off to Bermuda. Counting the days.

There is a new Miniature Golf course at the Dockyard too. Several good posts about that activity too. Good way to spend Sunday afternoon.

Cruisecritic members always have the answers to questions. As I said, this will be my first cruise to Bermuda but hopefully the first of many to come. Thanks again.
