Do the Alcoves have a sea view?

they are focused inwards, but if you lower the canopy, you can stand and see over the fence and see (sea?) water.

But they are not designed to be water facing, there is a public walkway there that leads from front to back of ship, so it's really about privacy for the alcove.

New to Celebrity and curious about The Alcoves. It looks like they face in towards the ship. We like to look out towards the water. Do The Alcoves have an outward view as well or are they focused inward?

No- However you have a nice view of the lawn- It is usually quiet and very peaceful. We truly enjoy the alcove and spend many hours relaxing. The cushions are very plush not like the cushions around the pools. You also have waiter service. In the afternoon, you are served a beautiful fruit platter and bottle of wine ( included in fee for alcove). Your Alcove butler will bring you drinks (if you have the drink packages) no charge. Bottled water and towels are also provided (included n/c). You can order lunch from the porch and it will be brought to you- for a fee of $5. (might have increased this year) If you have unlimited dining package- no charge. Or you can go to the buffet or grill and bring back your own lunch and or snacks. We typically tip the butler at the end of the day or for the week at the end.

Only available on the Reflection and Silhouette at this time. Alcoves are also limited. My only negative comment is that if the day is very windy, the clam shell top which blocks the sun, cannot be raised. We do not sit in the sun, so it could be a wasted day. We love the Alcoves and typically will book them in advance as they are limited and popular.

Enjoy your cruise.
