cruiselife4me Posted April 17, 2013 #1 Share Posted April 17, 2013 Here is the link to check the ship from forward to aft. I love the new forward balconies - check deck 11. http://www.royalcaribbean.com/quantumoftheseas/meet-the-ship/deck-plans/ Those aren't balconies. They are mostly category G ("Large Ocean View Stateroom") and the corner ones are category F ("Superior Ocean View Stateroom").

cruiselife4me Posted April 17, 2013 Author #9 Share Posted April 17, 2013 Perfectly said! When I checked the lower decks it showed the bow. EEk.
smoosh21 Posted April 17, 2013 #10 Share Posted April 17, 2013 They should have just eliminated the few remaining outside cabins on the lower deck and turned that into more public space.

poncho1973 Posted April 17, 2013 #12 Share Posted April 17, 2013 The only thing I have seen so far that looks :( to me so far is the lack of a Promenade. I have been on the ships without it and the ships with it and I LOVE THE PROMENADE. It really gives you a feeling like you are on different sort of cruise ship. I'm not sure that's a positive step in ship design. The one positive is the lack of a ciggie smoke hole in the Promenade floor from the casino. I like that casino tucked down there in no-man's land. cruiselife4me Posted April 17, 2013 Author #13 Share Posted April 17, 2013 Poncho - I'm with you. I LOVE the Promenade. As for the smoke hole- I'm not a smoker, i have no problem with those that do, but I don't go to casino's for that reason.

It gets in my hair, in my contacts, in my clothes, in my nose, etc. I just can't stand it and it makes me super congested & cough-y. I just accept the casino as a Poncho-free zone and pretend it doesn't exist.
cruiselife4me Posted April 17, 2013 Author #15 Share Posted April 17, 2013 Ha! That's funny. It's a Mary free zone as well. :)

Jchartman4566 Posted April 17, 2013 #18 Share Posted April 17, 2013 Did anyone else notice that there is no Main Dining Room anywhere? It is usually on the aft of the ships around deck 4, but that is where the new 270 degree lounge is located.
smoosh21 Posted April 17, 2013 #19 Share Posted April 17, 2013 So what about that Conference Center on Deck 13. That is some pretty prime real estate to be giving up. Normally they have the Conference Center down in the lowest passenger decks. I wonder if they are looking at trying to book some high end conferences to devote the space to this. Oh, an also notice that there is a Deck 13 with cabins on it. Oasis and Allure skipped deck 13. Another interesting nugget.

They must be doing something innovative with it that will make it different than current Royal ships
spencercoop Posted April 18, 2013 #21 Share Posted April 18, 2013 It is interesting how far the Concierge Lounge is from the elevators. It is in a very cool place but you would have thought they would have put it somewhere more accessible.

cruiselife4me Posted April 18, 2013 Author #23 Share Posted April 18, 2013 I also don't see a Promenade unless that shopping are is one? Doesn't look like a normal one. As far as the concierge lounge- I noticed that too. Kinda strange.

Outstanding views of the sea.
