Jiminy1955 Posted June 13, 2013 #1 Share Posted June 13, 2013 I keep reading that it gets pretty hot in Belize as well as other places in the Western Caribbean. But how hot is hot? I live in AZ and it was 108 here today & currently @ 1:45 am it is still 90 degrees. So how does it compare?

jaxfl Posted June 13, 2013 #10 Share Posted June 13, 2013 It is a different HOT than AZ has. In AZ it is a DRY HOT like in an oven, in Belize it is a WET (HUMID) HOT like walking into a wet sauna room.
Rare Keith1010 Posted June 13, 2013 #11 Share Posted June 13, 2013 Yes, but in February not as hot as Arizona in summer. I live in Texas. Even dry heat is hot, hot, hot. LOL. Keith
jaxfl Posted June 13, 2013 #12 Share Posted June 13, 2013 The OP J1955 has asked this same question in 4 different places.... each port.
Jiminy1955 Posted June 13, 2013 Author #13 Share Posted June 13, 2013 Yes I did ask in each port because I never could get answers anywhere else. I appreciate all the answers and yes our summers are hot, hot, hot. In the late '80's we reached 122 for 3 days, now that was like an oven & with humidity! Regardless of the heat there we all plan to enjoy ourselves! Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app
Jiminy1955 Posted June 13, 2013 Author #14 Share Posted June 13, 2013 Can my 3 threads be combined into 1 thread? And if so how do I do that? I am fairly new to CC. Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app
pmoniz Posted June 13, 2013 #15 Share Posted June 13, 2013 So what if OP posted the same question in 3 different areas?? Sometimes it's the only way to get an answer to your question! Not that big of a deal!!
OCruisers Posted June 13, 2013 #16 Share Posted June 13, 2013 So what if OP posted the same question in 3 different areas?? Sometimes it's the only way to get an answer to your question! Not that big of a deal!! Also, the OP posted about three different ports! We've found the water temperatures in Belize warmer than Cozumel in Jan/Feb. FaireM Posted June 30, 2013 #17 Share Posted June 30, 2013 It is a different HOT than AZ has. In AZ it is a DRY HOT like in an oven, in Belize it is a WET (HUMID) HOT like walking into a wet sauna room. I'm sorry, but you are quite incorrect. AZ hot is not dry... it's humid. Arizona experiences monsoon weather all summer long... with thunder-showers almost every afternoon. So, it would seem that the OP will have no trouble acclimating themselves to the weather in Belize. Jiminy1955 Posted July 22, 2013 Author #20 Share Posted July 22, 2013 No dry heat in AZ these days! Todays temps running between 75 & 85 and humidity between 65 & 100%.
crusinpsychRN Posted August 8, 2013 #21 Share Posted August 8, 2013 In March it was hot at about 82 and very humid. The water, however, was cold and too cold for cave tubing for me! In summer it's about 110 at Altun Ha and dripping humid!
