If we start a cruise in Seward, what is the best way to get there? Do we fly into Anchorage and if so, what type of transportation to we use from there? Thanks so much for your help.

You fly into Anchorage.

You can take a private shuttle , rental car , train or cruise line transfers.

You would have to find the cost of each. Usually we you fly into Anchorage a overnight in Anchorage is recommend before you board the cruise.

This overnights gets you adjusted to time change and extend daylight hours .

There are also buses and taxis. listings http://www.anchorage.net http://www.seward.com

More important, consider the "best" transfer, to allow for the best use of your time, and the ability to include any activities you may wish to include. Especially- with a one way car rental. Many times- this is ideal, allowing all kinds of attractions. BUT people turn up their noses at that due to cost alone. In my opinion, wrong thinking, with the bottom line of all the other expenses, making this car rental a small fraction of the overall. Just a suggestion.
