Best Beach on Labadee?

Recommended Posts

Where is the best beach on Labadee? Last year we were on the beach that the zipline runs above...we didn't like it too much. it was very rocky. I heard there are nicer areas to hang out and spend the day... Any recommendations?

Nellie's. Just walk to the right on the path. Past the Suite section. Beach is gorgeous, sandy bottom, water super calm and clear. That is where we go every time we are in Labadee.

If you're at a beach you don't like, simply go to another! There are plenty of beach areas! Of course, if you pay for some sort of cabana or bed, you're pretty much stuck....so don't spend the money...loungers abound! And, they are included in your day! Move them into shade, if you want to!

We also like Columbus cove. It is a little bit of a walk to get there. You have to walk past the locals selling there stuff. When we pass we don't make eye contact and igonore them so it isn't to bad. It seems like not many people know about it that beach till the end of the stop. Plus it is right by the food when they serve it. Nice calm beach with sandy bottom for swimming. We always rent a mat and just float on the water.

Columbus Cove is the beach you want on Labadee.

It is located all the way in the back on the right side.

Three ways to get there without going by the pushy vendors.

1 - Take the ferry from the pier as you depart the ship.

2 - Take the tram at the first round-about all the way to the end.

3 - Walk past Barefoot Beach - just past Nellie's Beach there is a path way that goes along the waters' edge - past the Aqua Park and you are there.

As others have mentioned there is plenty of shade, a covered area for the BBQ, plus a steel band to get you in a happy mood.

The best part is that it is the only beach you don't need watershoes, since it is white sand all the way into the water.

Note: the best way to return to the ship is by taking the tram.

We were just there June 2. Agree with Nellies and Columbus Cove. There was no line for the buffet at Columbus Cove the whole time we were there. We walked back after lunch and there were long lines at all of the other buffet stations. I guess most don't go that far back, but it is not really that far.

How much for the ferry? I assume the tram is free of charge?
