What do you want to know about them? They are setup by the staff on the island and have 2 lounge chairs and are back from the beach.

Take a book with you so that you prop up the clam shell to get some air flow. They can get stuffy.

These are not the clam shell sun shelters, they are described as a sun shelter compact, semi-circular, open-front tent with a tent-fabric floor -- ideal for use anywhere on the beach. Just wondering if they are any good?

I wonder if they're new? They just had the regular clamshells in December. You might want to ask on the Carnival board. Carnival goes to Half Moon Cay when Holland America is not using the island.

All excited for Independence Day, or has he calls the 4th of July, "Red, White & Pooh."

Loved seeing him in his little outfits :D

There is a big price difference as well. $39.95 vs $11.95. Hopefully, sometime next fall someone will be able to post some pictures. I'm guessing that they might not be very big.

Just come across this thread too while trying to find out the difference between the sun shelter and clam shell! Take it we are none the wiser as yet? I hate that the HAL excursion planner doesn't actually have a photo of the shelter! X

I'm curious if you can fit the loungers in the sunshades or if you have to sit on the ground.

That is a few bucks, to much.

I've been wondering the same thing... The clamshell was great at 20. last year, but I'm not willing to pay 40. The tents - assuming they look like some of those on amazon rent for 12 and sell in the 35-60 range on Amazon. I may just buy one and use it in other ports as well.
