Restaurants on Escape not showing up for reservations - 3 weeks out

I've searched for this in the forum but can't find an answer. DH and I just booked a last minute cruise for June 4th and wanted to make our specialty dining reservations ahead of time. Most of the specialty restaurants are not showing up available for reservations. Beyamo and Teppenyaki show up randomly as does La Cucina for one or two dates but none of the others. Aren't they open for reservations by now? Surely they're not booked... Help.

Its probable they are booked, however only about 30% of the reservations are available to be booked online before sailing. The remainder are available once you board. Download the iConcierge app now and log on once you're on board and you can make reservations for the week. Teppenyaki fills up relatively quickly as there are a limited number of seats, but you should have no problem picking a date and time any time the first day of your cruise.

Thank you!! That is what I was wondering. We will make reservations as soon as we board. We wanted to make one for the day of departure but it will have to wait.

We have cruised ncl multiple times always in the Haven we have never had a problem until this cruise. Same issue. The restaurants never showed up on line. We cruise the 20th of May. Last month I called and was tols everything was booked. I am so angry. How could this happen. Nothing was ever on line

You're in The Haven, they will make sure you get the reservations you want. Relax. Your concierge (or their assistant) will take care of everything for you. Just schedule when you embark and are escorted to The Haven.

i think that because almost every booking now includes the dining package, reservations are getting hard to come by. most people on a 7 night sailing will have the 3 or 4 meal dining package and that eats up a lot of reservations.

i know people that had unused specialty dining because they simply couldn't get in anywhere.

We don't even attempt to book dining ahead. Unless you book early on, most times are gone online. We just go directly to Headliners when we board. They have multiple tables up for reservations(Go to the left side, They're selling Vibe passes on the right side). Never have been refused a date or time we wanted within 15 minutes. We're on her for the 3rd time June 11th. We'll start thinking about when we want to eat at Teppanyaki, Cagney's and Le Bistro on the flight down. No reservations at either Pincho's or Food Republic are taken. Pincho's is great but hardly ever crowded. I'd suggest Food Republic early in the week. Later, folks catch on that it's one of best places to eat.

Yes, that means that all of the seating allocated for pre-booking is sold out (some seats are held for on-board booking). Plan to make reservations as soon as you board the ship. A restaurant reservation station is setup in the Headliners Comedy Club on embarkation day.

Teppanyaki and Cagney's will fill up fast for prime time.

The Supper Club Cabaret with Brenda Braxton (only offered once per cruise) will sell out quickly.

To help you with your planning on the Escape, I just posted dailies from last week's cruise at http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2358689&goto=newpost

Note: Shows in the Supper Club are rotated every few weeks. The For What A Night dinner show was ending last week.

Agree with the post above, we ate at Food Republic twice and Pincho's twice for lunch last week. Both had excellent food.

Great advice we'll go to Headliners as soon as we board. This is different for us we booked last minute (after final payment). We usually plan way ahead.

You will be fine but don't worry but don't wait to book them especially Cagney and Teppanyaki.

We are going to try Food republic for dinner the first night since everyone says the service is very quick so we can go after muster (4:30)and still get to watch the sail away(7).....fingers crossed

I don't believe they open until 5:30, but even so you shouldn't be there more than an hour.

Yes, food republic opens at 5:30. But you should go their directly from muster. Read the menu while waiting for them to open and get your first orders in quickly (everything is self-ordered from iPads on each table.) Order your food, swipe your room key. Food shows up. If every seat gets filled simultaneously after muster, the kitchen will back up.

Don't order your desserts until you are abou 2/3 the way through your food. Otherwise you'll be eating desserts before your mains. (Which isn't bad).
