Venice port

Recommended Posts

The Venice port schedule no longer lists which terminal the ships will use. If you ask on the Celebrity board here at CC, someone who has already been on her might be able to tell you where she docked.

Do you want the scenic, the cheap, or the expensive way to get to Piazza San Marco? You can get lots of answers if you check out the Italy board under Ports of Call.

This link might help you. Scroll down from the map to the How to Get to Piazza San Marco paragraph.

Does anybody know which Terminal CELEBRITY CONSTELLATION is in, in Venice and how do you get to St Marks Square from the Terminal?

Thanks

Welcome to Cruise Critic Flowerofessex. You will get a lot of port specific information at the Italy boards on Cruise Critic here:

It is a very long walk.

First you walk to the people mover which takes you to P. Roma and then it is a good forty minutes walking swiftly and not getting lost.

You can catch the vaporetto from P Roma but although more scenic, takes longer than walking. Costs 7 euros each way. Or 7.50. I am often here so have a pass and the tickets are cheaper.

I am biting the bullet and catching the alilaguna line from the port to P. St Marks. 8 euros for a single. Takes about 15-20 minutes. Well, I mean going to go to the port! Every half an hour. That will be me, smiling, Thursday:D

We have always taken the people mover from the cruise terminal to Plaza Roma and as I recall it is 1e pp each way. At Plaza Roma you can purchase various passes be it a one way ticket, multiple rides or an all day pass. The one thing that you don't want to do is purchase the pass that you ship may offer, it is extremely expensive compared to the Vaporetto.
