Cozumel: Mr. Sancho's or Nachi Cocom?

My boyfriend and I will be in Cozumel on Friday, June 7 and are trying to decide between Mr. Sancho's and Nachi Cocom to do the all inclusive. What's all included for each place? Are cabanas extra, and if so, how much do they cost? Any suggestions and advice about the pros and cons of each place would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! :)

I've been to both, and personally I would lean towards Nachi. Mr. Sanchos just didn't "do it" for me. They seemed very standoffish and not very friendly, though many people love it there. Both included all drinks, food was extra. If you get there early enough you'll get a prime lounger, but there seemed to be plenty available elsewhere.

Have a great time!!!

are you sure you paid extra for food at Nachi? We have been there 3 times and have always had our food included which consist of a 3 course lunch but we are never hungry enough to get dessert.

Will be at Nachi again for trip #4 in less than a month. I wonder if we will get Manuel as our waiter? we have gotten him every time so far.

Nachi is very quirt and relaxing; Mr. S is a little more lively and has water toys and other stuff. Nachi limis to 100 customers per day, while the AI side of Mr. S limits to (I think) 200/day. It all depends upon what you are looking for.

If you are on the AI side of Mr. S or at Nachi your food and drinks are included. Good luck! :)

I haven't been to Sanchos but I did do a lot of research here on CC before making my decision to hit up Nachi. I can tell you that we (4 adults 33-39) had an awesome time. It is $55pp and that includes all drinks and a 3 or 4 course lunch. The food was amazing and the drinks never stopped coming. The server even brought bottled waters thru the whole time we were there. Nachi allows only 100 people a day at the beach club which is awesome. when we were there we got a beachfront palapa. we were the only people on the beach for most of the time, then i think 3 others showed up when we were leaving. They have a poolside bar and a spa but we never made it out of the beach (too nice). we are going back in october.

We went to Mr. Sancho's when we were there. We are looking forward to returning on June 10th for round #2 :D. I enjoyed the servers and the crowd (we are in our 40s) and our sever was quite attentive to our needs. Food (except for lobster dishes) and drinks (except for domestic beers) were included in the price. I can't say anything about the other place except that I heard that it was more quieter. I had no issues with noice at Mr. Sancho's.

This was THE BEST day I spent on ANY beach EVER!!!

Hope this helps.

I will be in cozumel in june as well and im trying to figure out which one to pick, does anyone have any photos of both places? maybe the photos will help me decide! i'm kinda leaning towards mr. sanchos right now as they say you can order anything from the menu, does nachi have a menu or is it like a set of choices? any more insight will definately help! thanks everyone!

Nachi has a very typical menu, plenty of choices. I haven't been to Sanchos, but this April will be our 5th time at Nachi. I haven't had the need to even look anywhere else. I know it can have 100 people, but I don't think I have ever felt like it it was more than 30-50 there. Always an awesome time.

We have been to Nachi Cocum twice, both times had a fantastic experience. Everyone gets a palapa and your own waitstaff who will bring you whatever you want. If you're there a long time, the pool / spa is a nice change before you go and has a swim-up bar. The bathrooms are very clean also. If you want water toys they do have some they rent for a couple of dollars, and a snorkeling boat also leaves for an extra charge. Like other posters have said, they haven't felt the need to try another beach break. We're staying on the island next month and may even go down since we don't have a beach at our resort (but a nice reef).

How do the pools compare at the two? Yes I know the ocean is there....but a pool is nice too - especially with kids!

Thanks...Does either have corona included in the AI?

i have had Corona there before but prefer Dos Equis. They have a nice pool at Nachi. We start out the day at the beach and spend a little time in the pool towards the end of the day.

We too are trying to decide between the two. Does Nachi offer domestic beers at no charge? I am a beer girl, but I don't stray too far from the Miller and Bud Light type beers.

Nachi and Mr. S offer only Mexican beers - Corona, Pacifico, Sol, Modelo, etc. Good luck! :)

I always go to Nachi, and last year let my husband talk me into going to Mr Sanchos. He said it looked more fun. I'm 45. Hubby 52. I like to listen to my ipod, read, sleep and tan. Hubby likes to meet people, hang at the bar., jet ski. We both like to drink when we're on vacation.

Our arriveal didn't start off good at Mr Sanchos. Nothing was ready. The chairs were dirty and sitting all together and on top of each other. They told us to find a spot and someone would be over. The beach was not cleaned yet. Other people showed up and we all grabbed chairs and were arrainging things for our families.

I kept looking down the beach. You can see Nachi, they're not far from each other. I kept looking at my husband in disgust. I was not happy.:(

Workers did start coming over to straighten things up. More cruise ship people were arriving. The sun was beaming by this time ,so I asked if I can have an umbrella. They said yes, but you have to pay extra for that. Again, I looked at my husband.

I told him, "If it not's broke don't fix it."

I love the Western Itinerary and have been going to Nachi for the longest time. We know when we go to Nachi, they're on point. We're escorted to our palapa with 2 lounge chairs and a table in the middle. We always get the first row. And we always get Joseph our favorite waiter.:D

It was not the same experience at Mr. Sanchos. There's nothing wrong with it, but, it's not for me. You can order food all day, it you want. It's unlimited. Our waiter was fine.

At Nachi, you are given a menu. You order 1 appetizer, 1 entree and dessert. I always get the grilled grouper. My favorite.:) My husband always order 2 entrees and they bring it, no questions asked. He likes the grouper and grilled shrimp platters. We always tip when we leave. And ,we also tipped our waiter at Mr. Sanchos. They do work hard.

Needless to say, my vote goes to Nachi. I have our space reserved for our upcoming cruise. Hubby asked "are we going back to Nachi"? I just gave him the look.

Whatever you choose, enjoy.

Neither one is a bad choice.

Thanks for all the reviews and information. My boyfriend's brother and sister in law ended up going on the cruise with us so we ended up going with Mr. Sancho's since there seems to be more activity going on. We booked the romantic package at Mr. Sancho's which includes a private cabana and massage. Next time we're in Cozumel we will try Nachi Cocom for a more quiet and relaxing time. Thanks again. :)

Thanks for this review Marie and for starting this thread Mindy! We have been booked for Nachi for over a year and I now know I made the right decision in booking this for us. We will finally be there on 9 April as one of our ports. My hubby is 53 and I am 51 and Nachi Cocum sounds like the experience we are looking for. REALLY looking forward to two Tuesdays from now! :)

Which one is better with Kids, I have two daughters that are 6 and 11! Looking for something fun for them both.

I would assume Mr. Sanchos is more appropriate. I have rarely seen kids at Nachi. There aren't things for them to do there, like the inflatables. I feel like Nachi is more adult. That is just my opinion.
