Sports Centre Noise since it moved

Has anyone stayed in a club balcony stateroom on deck 12 under the new location of the sports centre, if so did you hear much noise from above.

Thanks

We stayed in 2009 in Cabin 12052 which is in front of the Elevator Bank B also in front of the Pavilion Pool.

The new Sport Centre is located on both sides of the Funnel behind the Indoor Pool where there is no cabins located even before the refit.

The only noise we heard from the Sun Deck above the Cabin was in the morning when they setup the lounges for a few minutes and then it was quiet without any disturbances.

That was our experiences the 6 days we were on.

Just returned from E-W TA on QM2 May 8-15. We were in room 12.022. There was no noise from the sports center. However, friends who were further back on deck 12 and closer to the pool area did say they could clearly hear the live music from the pool area. However, it quit early and was only a problem if you were napping in the late afternoon (really).

Yes and the noise was awful. We have vowed not to travel in A1 Club Balcony cabins again on QM-2 because they are all under an open deck. Similarly, on QE and QV you have to be careful with cabins on Deck 8 because of noise overnight in the areas above. Much moving of tables and chairs and what sounded like the rolling of beer barrels in the area of a bar. All between 1 and 2 am.

Following on from my above post, I have never understood why Cunard puts its more expensive cabins in some categories immediately below internal and external public areas that are prone to noise just because these cabins are higher up the ship. Why not make the cabins immediately below possible noisy areas cheaper in the category and the more expensive in the category one deck lower?

I recommend the new Deck 13 staterooms which are all A2s. There is a narrow walkway above, but they are over the balconies and, because they are well padded, we never heard anything.
