Embassy Suites Pre-Cruise

I booked the cruise and park package. Leave my car for the duration of the cruise and had them confirm it for the 11 days via email

Totally price for the 5 of us was $300.00 . Includes cook to order breakfast/buffet.

happy hour with free drinks.

They do charge for parking if you do not ask for the package and it is $20.00 per day starting the very first day.

Will still investigate the buyreservations when their quotes go up

$300 all inclusive is a good price. Stay there. And everyone gets free breakfast and free happy hour no matter how much they pay.

Thanks for the info. So there is no other difference other than the access to the "free" snacks and Keurig in the room? Are the rooms otherwise the same other than being on the top floors? As far as I can tell all the rooms come with a free hot breakfast. Is that true?

Same rooms just on top floor. All rooms come with the breakfast and manger's reception.

Parking is what cost us the most..

Don't like parking at those "other places" just heard too many stories

Refuse to leave my keys (even if it is only the truck keys)

But check out www. buyreservations.com; or www. stay 123.com they have some really good prices including parking and transportation. Some will even let you leave your car for 21 days

I have been reading several recent reviews on TA about dirty rooms in Embassy Suites. Others have been commenting on the dated, tired and worn-out decor. I am used to dismissing a claim or two as being from folks with a particular axe to grind but these comments are appearing repeatedly. How much of the hotel has been refurbished? Have recent visitors noted these issues? Thank you. Planning on an August stay (I think).

We stayed there on December 5th and everything was perfect.

To all you seasoned ES travelers, a question. We've never stayed at the FLL ES, but several others around the country. While nice, they seem to attract an inordinate amount of kids who run thru the atrium and fill the pools. And they're noisy. As we are traveling with family on our next trip (March 2016...and yes, it is Spring Break), the ES makes sense because of the ability to have visiting areas other than the room.

What is your opinion in these regards? What is a typical price to pay for March?

While nice, they seem to attract an inordinate amount of kids who run thru the atrium and fill the pools. And they're noisy. As we are traveling with family on our next trip (March 2016...and yes, it is Spring Break), the ES makes sense because of the ability to have visiting areas other than the room.

This is the most expensive time of the year (other than perhaps Christmas) and Embassy rates are going to be sky high. I paid $229 in December, but checking for next year in March the lowest is $329. Keep looking.

As for kids, kids everywhere run around. Embassy area is just bigger than most and caters to families because of their accommodations. And the included booze and food. :)

I live locally so just drive down and leave my car there for a great rate. This time we stayed because of meeting friends from out of state. In any event, when we travel, Embassy is usually our first choice.

If you are a AAA member, don't forget to apply this discount when looking for a room at ES. We have 2 rooms reserved in Aug 2015 for our pre-cruise stay. Room + taxes/fees is $157.12 for each room (King, non-smoking, 2-room suite).

I think that it is just a given that most any hotel near the port that offers a reasonable rate/amenities will be hectic on checkout day. However, it is only one night and I don't plan on letting that spoil the rest of the vacation. Give me a clean place to lay my head, a beverage and something to eat, and the ability to catch a cab to the ship and I'm all good.

Keep in mind that Easter 2016 is in March. So, rates may be higher than normal.
