Salmon in Ketchikan

Has anybody been to the Salmon ladder in Ketchikan, and when is the best time of day to go?

Seems like it will be a cool thing to see.

Any other suggestions for things to see? We know there are totem poles to see in the area.

Thanks for any info

Thanks for the info. Sorry I forgot to mention when we are sailing. You are correct, we are sailing in the beginning of August

Safe sailing

It's an easy walk, all you have to do, is take a look and see if there is any salmon in the Creek, from Creek St. IF there is, then continue up to the ladder. There won't be any salmon at the ladder unless it's in the creek.

At around 1.39 in this shows the ladder and fish running it. It was the last day of July and they were easy to spot, although I don't think this would count as heavy numbers. All the best, Tony
