Did they have any deals if you sign up for your next cruise? I just got off an NCL cruise and if you paid $250 for a cruise anytime in the next 4 years, you got an immediate $100 onboard credit.

Just curious because Carnival has some pretty good sales right now (or until Monday) and I am going on Conquest in 2 weeks.

Thanks for any info you might remember.

Karla

Carnival used to offer FCC like NCL but stoped years ago. there is really no advantage booking onboard with Carnival

So we are now back on board and the lines to get something to eat are just so very long that it is just a mess. Waited about 30 minutes for the shortest line the Deli and had a tuna sandwich which was really good. Went back to the room showered and was getting ready for dinner but we had some time so we went to the casino. My husband found out that the guy playing next to us had won 15,000 playing video poker and so he played keno and he won 200 on a quarter bet. I lost about 100 playing the slots and we left to dinner.

Dinner was as usual very nice and the food was good and the service was good. We started around 615 and we had finished by 730 which in my opinion is not bad.

We were on the sailing the week before you and played every video poker machine and the most you could win was $2,000.00.

Two days at sea

The last two days the weather was much better and no overcast and the movement of the ship seems to die down. It seems that the way to Curacao and Aruba against the current made for a choppy trip.

We did our usual breakfast buffet and lunch was lido deck 9 ,deli, pizza and Guys Pizza. I did not like the burrito as the meat was a bit spicy for my taste. All the deserts on the ship were pretty good and of coarse lots of ice cream.

We went and spent our winnings from Aruba in the casino as the machines do not pay well on bonuses so it is hard to stay ahead. I had a free drink card but very hard to get a bartender and forever for them to return. In addition the smoke was the worse of any ship ever they need more a/c vents for sure.

I tried the roulette table again 200 and it was gone in one hour since the chips are 2 each and minimum of 10 a spin. Crap table was always full but i heard that there was no money to be made there too.

I saw the comedy show which was good but not great.

The band in the Promonade was okay one singer better then the other but was entertaining and the trivia was okay as well.

The pool area in lido deck 9 was way way way over crowded and the pool was a soup of green water , not for me. The jaccuzi was the same way too many people and the water was mercy at best. The chairs are all taken up with towels and shoes and some sunbathers.

The movies outside were a nice treat and a great place to relax and get some fresh air but unless you went early chairs with a good seat are hard to come by.

Overall the trip was nice and the price was good. I did get a letter last day saying i could have a free trip but when i called only September was worth it since adding my son would cost a fortune and September is hurricane season, not for me.

Would i go on this ship again ,probably not since there are so many others to choose from. Would i recommend it as a low cost and fun, yes. The ports made this ship worth the trip. And the staff was friendly overall.

Any questions, just ask and i will try and answer them.:D

LTCsquad, have you popped over to our roll call? It's pretty quiet and hoping to liven things up soon!

I always sail September since I realized that is a fraction of the number of children and the prices are very good. Never had any bad weather - knock on wood!

Thank you for the review, Bell. Looking forward to our September cruise and this makes me even more excited.

For the outdoor movies at night - do they have popcorn? Is it quiet enough so you can focus on the movie, with no background music from other venues?
