?'s on Anthem and Bermuda

We are leaving on Saturday (omg) and I am trying to get my ducks in a row!

The beaches in Bermuda....they are soft sandy beaches right? Not rocky that we need to bring our beach/water shoes? Correct?

My husband is a huge sports fan and was wondering if he would be able to watch the giant game on Monday night.

On the 5 night cruises do they have the journey cover and and we will rock you? I wasn't sure if they offered everything on the 5 night cruises.

Does the balcony door stay open or do I need a bungee cord to hold it open like on the carnival ships?

Is the casino open the 2 nights we are in port?

With the soda package what is the cup like that we have to use for refills?

Beaches are pink sand there are rocks nearby that people do climb.

Michael's pub will most likely have football games. The frog and onion at dockyardent might be another place to see the game.

Cover bands vary on each trip we have a Bon Jovi tribute 2 weeks after you.

The soda cup is like a travel coffee cup

I hear the casino is open at night.

Enjoy Anthem!

Not sure I can help you with all of your questions, but here it goes:

1. From what I remember, the beach sand is soft. Some beaches the sand is pink!

2. I'm sure the game will be broadcast somewhere, perhaps by the pool? At the very least he should be able to view it in the cabin.

3.Not sure, but when we went on our 8 night cruise the journey cover band was there. Get to Music Hall early to claim seats. It was super crowded. We Will Rock You is a headline show. You should be able to reserve tickets ahead of time.

4. Our balcony door stayed open.

5. I do not think the casino is open in port.

6. The cup is large...about 16oz. It's an insulated plastic cup with a lid. I bring dishwashing soap to clean it (small container).

Hope that helps!

The casino opens at 9pm the night you are in Bermuda.

The balcony door is a sliding glass door. You do not want to keep it open or unlocked as it turns off the AC in the cabin. You can put it in the locked position while you are out on the balcony.

The soda cup looks like the old glass coke cups except it is plastic. It has a clear lid that is a pain to get on, it cross threads, which also leaks if you tip it so be careful.

We had the Journey cover band the beginning of the month and they were good. We will rock you does happen on the 5 day cruise as well as Spectra and The Gift.

Bring an old gift card or loyalty card to stick in the master switch to keep the ac on while you are out of the cabin. Just leave it in the switch the entire cruise so your cabin is cool.

We Will Rock You is not the headliner show, it is the broadway style show that is on the ship. There is a headliner show too. Our headliner was a comedian if I remember correctly.

Berumda is stunning. Where we went Horseshoe bay beach it was soft but there were sharp stunning rocks to climb. We went past the busy section and to a small cove type spot that our taxi driver suggested. I wore flip flops and climbed the rocks thankfully my uncle climbed up and traded me shoes since i am uncoordinated. If I were to do it again I would bring my Teava sandals with a sturdy thick sole

Just got back from the 5 day. They did have football on in several bars on-board. Above posts are accurate per the beaches. We had "we will rock you" you will as well. We also had the Journey tribute band, hopefully you will as well, they were very good. Dan

The tribute bands change each cruise.

Horseshoe Beach in Bermuda is a beautiful soft sand beach, but there are other beaches where it is rocky and you will need water shoes. If you plan to go to Snorkel Beach at the Dockyard, you will definitely need water shoes.

We Will Rock You is a musical play on all sailings.

Right now there is a band called Rock the Boat that is the house band, in addition to the tribute bands, in the Music Hall. They are excellent, but I don't know how much longer they will be on the ship.

We also just returned from the Bermuda cruise. I can second what was posted above. Horseshoe beach is soft sand, snorkel beach is rocky. We Will Rock You is an awesome show. You should make reservations, but they do accept walk ins 15 minutes before show time.

The Journey tribute band was there last week, although we did not see them. Rock the Boat is an outstanding cover band and we followed them from venue to venue.

Enjoy Anthem. It's a fantastic ship with lots to do.

Hello

We did the 5 night cruise a couple of months ago, WWRY was shown 3 times, on day one around 2230, day 2 at 1930 and day 3 in the afternoon around 1430, we saw it on day 1 and enjoyed it so much we waited in the standby line on day 3 and saw it again as we enjoyed it so much.

hope this helps.

one small tip, we tried to book the Northstar for sailaway from Bermuda and got the 'flight' before, so glad we did as there seems to be an issue with it being up on departure and they closed it down until we were actually at sea so we were in effect on the last ride before leaving.
