Carnival Conquest

Getting ready to take the 5 day to Jamacia on the Conquest next week. Has anyone cruised during the last couple of trips to these ports (Jamacia and Grand Cayman) Any recents thoughts and pics would be great. 1st time on the Conquest. Thanks.

Ship is nice, needs a refresh due later this year.

Grand Cayman is awesome. Do not miss the stingrays, use captain marvins

Jamaica is so so, the falls are supposed to be great but take some physical fitness. AI resorts are so so but it beats doing some public beach. Watch out were you walk and be prepared to ignore lots of people trying to sell you stuff including drugs

Make friends with the casino host and she will take care of you

Book an excursion in Jamaica either through the ship, or through a reputable provider (use TA website for good info). The island is beautiful and there is so much to see and do, but certain of the locals are very pushy.

Also, I would not recommend trying the brownies from the guy on the side of the road with a sign with a big pot leaf on it.;p

Rum Point in Grand Cayman is beautiful if you have time to go there.

Last time in Ocho Rios, we hung out at Margaritaville. Kids had fun in the pool, they had a deck for dancing and dj playing music. Nice beach area and great pics with ship in background! There were a few shops to pop into in the area on the way to Mville.

Love Grand Cayman. I didn't want to leave.

We loved the comedians on both the Glory and the Valor during our last 2 carnival cruises. How are the current comedians?

Wait, there's a pool at Ocho Rios Margaritaville? Cool, I didn't see one there a few years ago.

(I did like their beach area and free access to water inflatables.)

They change every few days.

Always liked the Conquest and will be better when she finally gets her serenity deck
