We are coming to Cozumel in January

We have my 88 year old dad with us

How is the walk from taxi drop off to the beach? Is it far? (from an 88 year old person )

Do they have wheel chairs that can be borrowed to get himfrom the entrance to the beach?

Once he gets in his chair he will be fine.

We did occidental grand a few years back and that walk was a hike for him

Walk from parking to pavilion where you check is about 50+ yards (feel free to skip the funny sombrero photo opportunity). At check in explain the issues with your dad and ask for chairs close to the restaurant/pool/facilities.

Just a heads up, the sand at Nachi is difficult to walk on, and we're in our 30's with no mobility issues at all.

You can do that easily. it's probably no more than 75 feet.... waiting in line at the taxi stand will be the challenge. will need to sit him somewhere and grab him once it's your turn.

Once at Nachi...no problem. Get him pool side and he will be good to go. You didnt say which ship you were coming in on/what pier? If you are at the Punta Langosta pier then its a bit of a walk to the taxi stand. The end of the day walk back to the ship is rough for me and im in my late 30s in decent shape lol.
