misguidedangel Posted September 8, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 8, 2014 Please help me! I have snorkeling gear, but those darn fins take up so much space in the suitcase I would love to leave them at home! Please tell me if there is a rental shack where I can rent some fins instead of having to bring mine from home in my checked luggage and free up at least three or four pounds of space in the suitcase! We have a beach cabana, so it doesn't list if the cabana comes with snorkel gear or not..... Thanks
runner15km Posted September 8, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 8, 2014 Not sure if there is a rental hut but the shore snorkeling is very poor at MB. There is no coral or rock formations for the fish plus the water is a little murkey for a few hours because of the side thrusters. You will need to go to West Bay for good snorkeling.:)
Guest 2000 Posted September 8, 2014 #3 Share Posted September 8, 2014 If you go to West Bay there are plenty of places to rent fins.
Rare crewsweeper Posted September 8, 2014 #4 Share Posted September 8, 2014 There is a shack/hut where you can rent snorkeling gear and floats etc. But as previous poster pointed out, snorkeling isn't that great. If you are at a cabana, you can go to your left toward the small pier by the breakwater and find some small fish around.
misguidedangel Posted September 9, 2014 Author #5 Share Posted September 9, 2014 Not going anywhere other than the cabana, so if snorkeling is bad I'll just frolick in the sea or chillax in the hammock....
OCruisers Posted September 9, 2014 #6 Share Posted September 9, 2014 Mahogany Bay Beach is very convenient and nice for a beach day BUT you'll need to go elsewhere for decent snorkeling. LuLu
