SapphireSun Posted August 21, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 21, 2016 Hello, I'm taking a girl's getaway cruise with two friends. We're currently 60 days out. Due to budget restrictions one of the girls we decided to attempt to go three to a room. I've cruised several times before with my partner, and don't usually spend much time in the cabin, so I think it'll be ok, besides competition for the bathroom. HOWEVER... has anybody had luck picking up a second room cheap at the very last minute, or even on embarkation day?
paul929207 Posted August 21, 2016 #2 Share Posted August 21, 2016 Ships usually sail full.
CruiserBruce Posted August 21, 2016 #3 Share Posted August 21, 2016 Ships usually sail full. Agree. Each cruise is totally different- in terms of sales and occupancy. No way to predict. Plus, most cruise lines will still charge the double occupancy rate to your friend who gets the room solo. So it will be a healthy bite, not a great savings. cb at sea Posted August 21, 2016 #4 Share Posted August 21, 2016 I would book a separate room now, if you need it.
geocruiser Posted August 21, 2016 #5 Share Posted August 21, 2016 Have you thought of a cabin up grade? It might be cheaper than a single room. Some cruise lines have a discount for the third PAX in a cabin.
