We only book Aqua rooms due to Blu.

I might suggest you do a search on Aqua and Blu. This board is full of Aqua reviews, the rooms and Blu. There are posts about the amenities and what people think of them, good and bad.

Unless I'm wrong there was usually iced tea and fruit punch available in the Oceanview after breakfast. Next to the coffee there were cups and tea bags (nice variety) to make yourself a nice cup of tea. In addition Morales the "Good Morning" staffer will pour your coffee or get tea bag for you, just ask for the tea you want. From what other posters have said he has been with Celebrity for a long time. He is glad to serve you.

Just so new cruisers on the Equinox will know.

We have only done royal caribbean ....this will be our first celebrity cruise. booked an aqua class room with access to the blu restaurant. Just wondered if anyone has tried this type of room and what their thoughts were.

Our 1st RCCL was in 1989, Celebrity in 1994, our last 3 and next are with Celebrity.

Blu is your dining room, a smaller more get to know those you are rubbing elbows with at the table next to you:D Small tweaks to the menu from the MDR, no set time, all come when you want. There can be a wait when a lot show up at the same time.

As to the cabin, all balcony cabins, regardless of category, ( except Suites ) are the same size and design.

FYI, make sure and call C&A and have them get your Celebrity Captain Club set up. If you are Diamond you will receive the Elite level member perks.

We were in AQ on the Equinox 7/2 - 7/9 and it was great. Blu was wonderful and our servers (Yasar and Johanna) were phenomenal. I'd recommend asking for their section as they are also by the window!

We were on the 6/18 cruise. We loved Blu-another suggestion is Raymond-his section is also by the windows!

As previously pointed out, the AQ cabin on S class ships is identical to other veranda cabins except for the amenities. On M class ships the AQ is larger.

Blu is more intimate. You're more likely to be able to grab a table next to one of the several windows if you time it right or are willing for a short wait. What I liked about Blu besides the improved menu and decor over the MDR is that the environment is more civil. There's much less noise and a more peaceful music background that's enjoyable.

This is our first Celebrity cruise and we have an Aqua class stateroom. Is Blu open for all meals or just dinner? If only dinner, where does one eat breakfast and lunch---the buffet or MDR or somewhere else? TIA.

Blu is only open for Breakfast and Dinner. You will need to read your Celebrity Today newsletter put in your cabin each evening for which venues are open and their times. Usually the MDR is only open for lunch on the sea days but is open for breakfast and dinner. The Buffet is open all meal periods but there are times in the afternoon that they completely close. There is also the Aqua Spa Cafe for lunch which is included in your fare.
