Is a superior ocean view with balcony a basic sized cabin?

Not sure what you mean by basic. It's not a suite. It's around 180 square feet inside and 50 square feet on the balcony.

The Oasis deck plan shows a superior ocean view with balcony is 182 sq. ft. with balcony 53-82 sq. ft.

What are you comparing it to?

Sorry what I meant was is the superior ocean view balcony any bigger than any other balcony state rooms. Are there different types/sizes on oasis or does the code purely imply where is aft etc

Look at the deck plans...while not "to scale", they are representative of size....

All D cabins on the Oasis are identical in size.

There isn't too much difference in size between different categories of the same type of room. Maybe a few square feet. To me, they all feel the same once you are in the room.

Some rooms, particularly balconies may vary in size slightly or shape of the balcony depending on the location of the room (for example a "hump room"). As CB said, the deck plan will give you a pretty good idea of the size of the room compared to the rooms around it.

All the D grade cabins are exactly the same size. The D1 and D2 cabins (on the hump) have larger balconies. They are the same width but are deeper
