Been to GT several times, looking to explore- is it worth a cab fare to go to Cockburn town hit a beach and beach bar there before heading to Jax Shack for the afternoon. If so how much is a cab fare to town- thank you

Skip Jacks and just go to John's on the Beach at the north end of Cockburntown. It's in Zone B so it's $5 pp each way. Great fresh caught seafood. Good drinks. Cheaper than at Jacks.

You can also go to the Sandbar and sit on their deck and have a nice lunch.

There's few facilities and no loungers on the beaches. But nice walking beach. While snorkeling isn't the greatest along Cockburntown beaches, it's probably best around the Sandbar. You might find some facilities around Blue Water divers' shop just a short walk south of the Sandbar.

John's (Ocean View Bar and Restaurant) is great. One ought naught let the rustic appearance dissuade them. The fish (and conch fritters) are fresh/tasty and the beer is cheap. The ladies that run the place are excellent.

It's also a short walk(about 10-15 minutes) up to/or down from Pillory Beach(Taxi-Zone C).

We're planning to go into Cockburn as well and spend time since most of the other times we've been there we do excursions to the Wall and other sorts of diving/snorkeling.

Question...would it be almost as cheap to just rent a golf cart and be able to do what we want all day or just catch a cab to zone B and walk from there to Pillory/Zone C area?
