Anyone who is due to cruise on this little ship and has read some of the very negative reports, worry not!

The ship is in fine shape, staff are lovely and friendly, service is good, food is fine. I don't do the shows so can't comment on that but really the ship is great.

We were on vision 6-13 February out of Dubai and had a great time.We had a JS on deck 8 and everything was great.

The DL consierge was very good as we're all the bars.The food was good quality,chops was good we went twice and got 20% then 30% with free drinks.

We never bothered with the shows but that was our choice.

Nothing negative to report.

We were on Vision in May, 2015 for a Mediterranean cruise. The ship was in dry-dock in 2013 and completely redone, including the cabins. They did retain the small showers with the infamous shower curtain, though.

We had an Ocean view cabin on deck 2 and found it to be plenty spacious for all our stuff for a 12 day cruise. At first I was disappointed we didn't have a balcony but we were so busy, I doubt we would have used it very much.

The shows were very good and I broke even in the casino. The theater was big enough to hold half the passengers so you could always get a seat, even if you arrived close to show time.

The food was, IMHO, very mediocre, both in the MDR and the buffet. Breakfast was the same every day. We did eat in Chops on the last night and it was outstanding. I felt like I was in a food coma when we left.

The best meal was lunch in the dining room which we did every sea day. We were at a large table and spent 1-1/2 hours eating and chatting with a great group of fellow passengers.

The service was excellent. The day before we boarded, I had fallen off a step in Barcelona breaking a bone in my foot. Lucky for me, one of the passengers lent me her cane. The staff fell all over themselves helping me in any way they could.

The ship and all the public rooms were spotlessly clean, decorated in lovely colors and easy to navigate. I really liked this ship, so much so we are taking her again this year on a Baltic cruise.

I also found the Vision a couple years ago and found her excellent. One of the best crews inRCL. Would definitely sail her again in a minute.

Pat, if Gary Williams is on board again you should make an exception. Very nice Frank Sinatra type voice. He also does a great extra show in the centrum on the last night.

Lol, thanks Lesley. Not seen his name yet but will let you know. 2nd day in Muscat today, had an amazing private tour yesterday with Sunshine Tours mosque, Wadi, sink hole and white sand beach.

Saw gazelles, goats, donkeys, lots of different birds.

Tuesday with Dolphin Tours in Khasab had a private dhow for 13 of us CCers just fabulous, saw plenty of dolphins and fish.

Highly recommend both of these tour companies.

Don't buy the surf and stream package for internet, it is not good enough for streaming. Surf only is fine for just getting emails done etc. I got a good package pre-cruise don't know if they are still doing that one :)

It seems the current pre-cruise promos are surf & stream only.

The DL is on deck6 just past Schooner bar and Giovannis specialty restaurant and chops grill.

The DL is in the same place as other vision class ships and the consierge was very friendly and proactive on a night,he got drinks and personally welcomed everyone when they came in and left.

We always went into Schooner bar after DL for some drinks as it was next to specialty restaurants or a short stroll to MTD restaurant.

In addition to Schooner, the R Bar is another good option for pre-dinner cocktails.

Free sauna and steam room in the ladies loos in the spa area.

Schooner bar and R bar both good for pre-dinner cocktails.

All staff were excellent. One of the friendliest ships I have cruised on. I really cannot understand the negative reviews.

Food choices have gone down but seems to be the norm, only one night where I couldn't see a good choice for me (the last night), so had the filet mignon from Chops and it was superb.

I echo all your comments from when we were on Vision in February.
