Early baggage drop off

How early?

The terminal will be in disembarkation mode until about 10:00am. Before that time it may be difficult to find anyone to accept your luggage.

There is a left luggage office at FLL where you can check your luggage until you're ready to head to the port. Of course you can always bring your luggage with you to breakfast...a bit of a hassle, but less than returning to the airport.

We will arriving at Fort Lauderdale on an early flight does anyone know if it is possible to drop our luggage early at Port Everglades so we are able to go shopping and have a breakfast.

Between 9:00 and 9:30 you can start dropping off luggage.

It's a nuisance, as there is a lot of congestion from people

disembarking, and the traffic flow make you wade through

it to get to the bag drop.

I was thinking of berth 2.

If you are at berth 19 or 21 on a busy day, dropping off

your bags could be an hour long adventure.

I would only do it if your ship is at berth 2.

You can check which berth your ship is assigned to

(about 1 week in advance):

If it were me, I'd drag my bags to someplace like Panera Bread

on SE 17th Street, and then enter the port only once when you

want to get in the boarding line.

You won't be the only one there with bags.

I agree. Going into Port Everglades and back out again would eat up a lot of time. Grab a taxi to someplace nearby, have breakfast, call another taxi and go to the ship. Is there someplace inside the airport where you can have breakfast after you pick up your bags?

I agree. If you want to be in the port early at past 9am, SE 17th Street is near the port. The Holiday Inn Express we stayed before on that street was just a walking distance away.
