This is really great. My only problem with this is my next cruise will be #10, but the first two probably won't even show up as they didn't always keep track of your cruises. I wonder if anyone else is in the same "boat?" Anyone ever get them to credit you with cruises they haven't kept track of. My first cruise was over 20 years ago. The only proof I have is pictures taken on said cruise.

I think they might work with you if you have a picture. Does it have the ship's name and sail date in the background. Try calling guest relations. Good luck! I am jealous of you. The free laundry service is my favorite perk. Imagine not having to do 7 days worth of laundry after you come home from your cruise. Just open up your suitcase and put your nicely laundered clothes away.:D

For those needing to get credit for past cruises..there is hope. We had 8 added from as early as 1982, but only because we are packrats.

First go to http://www.carnival.com

Go under MY PROFILE

Go under Cruise History

ADD

They will email you if your cruise is to old. This will give you a contact name to help resolve the situation.

We had the embarkation picture and/or luggage tags that we faxed to :

Carnival Cruise Lines

IMC Specialist

1-305-406-6611

You will have to also fax a picture id.

We now have all 21 cruises listed.

Headed out on Number 22 on Sunday!!!

Hope this helps!

Let me clear up something here that has been a little confusing....It's on the 10th cruise you become Platinum, not after.

First timers get the red/white/blue card

2-9 sailings get the gold card

10 and over get the Platinum and all the perks - Meaning on your 10th cruise you will receive a Platinum card.....in other words, if you've sailed 9 times and your next cruise is #10 then you will have VIP checkin and a Platinum card and if you don't get VIP checkin on your docs, email me and I'll get you in contact with the right person to make it happen.:D

Do cruises with Princess or other Carnival owned lines count towards your Platinum status?

If so...woo hoo!

and how do I get them to add them?!?

I called Princess and CCL about two weeks ago to try to do this but they said they wont do it. They said that even though CCL owns Princess they are still separate entities.

Its great to see that CCL has started this program for their returning guest.

Yes it is. I know it was harder for them to "work out" then some of the other lines that Carnival owns since Carnival offers so many 3/4 day cruises. But we are looking forward to the "spoils" of our loyality on Sunday. My docs did not have VIP CheckIn on them but not to worry. My PVP called me at home to tell me he has confirmed our family of four's Concierge Club status on the ship PLUS I am taking everything Host Randy and others have suggested ... just in case!!!

We got the Platinum cards on our Spirit cruise in July, before this thing was in full swing...so there should not be a problem.

Thanks for all the info and Randy, Thanks for clearing things up. FOUR more to go.........maybe I can take a whole month, and do nothing but cruise the caribbean....ahhhhh wouldnt that be great!!!

Sign me up! I have decided that I need to cruise in every cabin on every cruise ship on every cruise line on every route ... just so I can be more informed about the "product". It's a tough job, but someone has to do it.

Well...maybe not "every" cruise line. ; )

Hey Randy, did you notice how nicely we played the other day when you had to do your "real" job???

We want extra "drink of the day" points. (I started to say brownie...but why not ask for the best?)
