What happened

Ok I went to book a cruise on the Imagination for May and was told by the Carnival rep that it had been chartered for the days I wanted. Do any of you know what or who could get the whole freakin ship..

Did you Google it? Put in the cruiseline, name of ship, date.......should give you the group that chartered it.

It happens quite often. It could be a large company or a music charter.

At least you were given advance notice. You could have gotten to port and been told that.:(

If it were a FULL SHIP CHARTER you would have been told in advance and not when you arrived at the pier.

that website says the charter is May 1st. I am also curious about the may 15th dates. We are wondering on another board about whether a band is taking over the ship that weekend.

We're getting on when they're getting off.:D

Actually, that's not a PINK FLOYD charter, that's a THINK FLOYD charter... a tribute band.

We're on for the 22nd and we haven't heard anything from our PVP. Which date were you looking at?

Because if it is who I think then I will be on that ship for sure...

Then, I heard an advertisement on the radio. They were having an essay contest to win a cruise trip with the band. It was sponsored by Coca-Cola and the object was to write about why you “Couldn’t beat the Real Thing”.

I would be shocked if a group would attempt to do a "surprise" charter. It costs $$$$ to charter a ship and they need time to actually sell cabins. To sell a ship out in a few months is pretty hard.

It is for NKOTB. It was announced today and the cruise goes on sale tomorrow!
