  1. Walk straight out of the terminal and cross the street. It's in the ground floor area of the parking structure where the taxis used to be.
  2. Yes the constructive ones are definitely helpful, good and bad. The ones attacking others aren't helpful and are in fact against the Cruise Critic rules. I have seen many on this thread that have since vanished and I have no doubt that the hosts are working hard to remove such posts. I don't envy what any of you are going through and honestly although I've done Alaska cruises multiple times my heart breaks for all of you having anticipated an entirely different experience. And I wouldn't want to be in the shoes of the hosts either for having to try to keep folks on track here. As I've said a couple of times now I really hope that whatever Princess provides in compensation is meaningful enough to offset the loss of the full Alaska cruise experience.
  3. Oh good! I was hoping that Princess would communicate what they are offering very soon. And I hope it's something meaningful to all of you living through this. Please keep us posted.
  4. Oops, no one told the people responsible for maintaining the deck plans that the bar was removed last year. And yes, it's truly gone. We cruised with it in 2022 and without it two weeks ago.
  5. Oh I am so sorry. Was really hoping they could at least deliver on Glacier Bay. I hope that Princess quickly lets everyone know how they plan to compensate guests for this mess. Hang in there!
  6. Yes this happened to us on the Royal Princess last December too. There seemed to be a particularly large tour group from one country that were the prime offenders. And I usually don’t think of nationality when I observe such unhygienic behavior but this was so prevalent among that group it was hard to not notice. I did mention something about it but was met with shrugs. Sadly we all must be overly cautious when dining in the buffet.
  7. Just pull that nightstand up a little and the CPAP should fit behind it. Or pull it closer to the bed and put the CPAP on the side, looks like you can get an inch or two that way. By the way it's clear these are newer lamps. Would have been nice for them to put something on that table with a smaller base!
  8. Thank you for sharing your journey with all of us. I enjoyed following along. Safe travels home!
  9. We just booked one of the "regular" front facing mini suites for our July cruise but made a bid on the ones on the side. Your description of the room features sold me that this was a good move vs. a regular mini suite.
  10. Only if it is too windy. They don't restrict it, you wouldn't want to be out there! Also there will be a sign about keeping the drapes closed at night as light may interfere with navigation. You can go out the side door in the dark, just make sure the light is out in the living room. It really is amazing up there. ETA: Attached a movie showing when you wouldn't want to be out there! 11. You can see out the front through a window in the bedroom area. We've been in M108 on a couple of ships and on the Regal that window was scratched. That balcony is the largest on the ship, even bigger than the largest aft Penthouse suite balcony. You're directly over the bridge and the balcony extends out over it giving an amazing perspective. The cabin itself is kind of a shrunken two room suite. The bathroom is exactly like the ones in the mini suites with a tub / shower combo. Not sure if it will post but here is a video I did of M108 on the Majestic Princess right after the restart of cruising in August 2021. IMG_4250.MOV
  12. We just booked the July 13 sailing on the Discovery and I tried to make specialty dining reservations on the app. To my surprise there wasn't a single Sabatini's reservation available all week but The Catch was wide open. I would have thought that the reverse would be true since The Catch seems to be so popular and (at least in my experience) Sabatini's is the least popular. I wonder if there is a glitch in the app and any reservations made prior to the switch stayed with the location and not the actual restaurant? I've written to Princess just in case I'm right - I imagine they would have a lot of unhappy diners if they were expecting one restaurant and wound up with the other. By the way we will be in Maui in June. Will you still be there?
  13. I didn't even notice that because we had the early flight last week and did walk-off. I just looked at our disembarkation instructions and sure enough it did say put luggage out before dinner. They used to say to put most of it out before dinner and the rest by 10 (that time varied). Wonder if that is just a Port Everglades thing?
