  8. On my Thursday morning walk along the shore of the Bay, as always I was on the look out for dolphins. I thought i had an interesting capture (poor photograph, too far away) of a small whale. But then in the Botanic Gardens, a very strange water creature. Description after the photos. Well, a piano in the fountain pond. Odd one may say. Odd I said. So, what is it? Of course, it is art. Piano Drowning, as part of the Rising art, music, performance festival here is Melbourne. https://rising.melbourne/festival-program/piano-drowning
  9. Appeal lost. Buddy out for next match against Melbourne. Following week, Sydney has a bye. Article includes video of the incident. https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/it-s-afl-not-fight-club-franklin-loses-appeal-will-miss-game-against-demons-20220601-p5aq9b.html
  10. Buddy has been given a 1 week suspension for hitting Trent Cochin of Richmond in the face. Sydney challenging the penalty. From the video i saw, he had a rather soft first attempt, then a much more forceful action. As his body was in the way, not able to say whether it was with an open hand or a fist. Trent may have a case for an Oscar -- however he was hit.
  11. Heading out for my Sunday morning walk, with a longer zoom on the camera. Found the source of the paw prints on my car (especially the windscreen).
  12. Buddy kicked 5. possibly should have been a draw, umpire made a big mistake related to an after the siren kick by Richmond.
  13. Three quarter time. Richmond leads by 6 points.
  14. Half time Richmond lead Sydney by 25 points. Buddy appears to have done very little, except kicking a goal right at the half.
  15. Quarter time Richmond lead Sydney by 8 points.

  17. Ok, Saturday was Election Day and now we have a new government. Sunday was a camera club outing to Mt Macedon — a 1000m high dormant volcano about 70km out of Melbourne. Focus on fungi
  18. Les, as others have said, I was very concerned when you weren’t here. Very pleased that you have such strong family support. Leigh, hope you both get over it quickly.
  19. Happy Democracy Sausage Day (21/5/22). Well, really federal election day. As many of the polling places are in schools, the Parents and Friends organise sausage sizzles as fundraisers. Thin beef sausages, cooked on a grill, put enveloped in 1 slice of white bread. Grilled onions, tomato sauce or mustard optional. First image is the school where I voted, Williamstown High School junior campus. We don't have a junior high school system. Sausage sizzles at Bayside High School, and Williamstown Primary School. Lastly, some scrutineers ensuring all is above board. I went past 5 school sites hosting pollig places, only 2 had sausages.
  20. Half time Carlton 80: Sydney 42 Buddy 1 goal late in second quarter. Not much else.
  21. Sydney vs Carlton at MCG. Sydney by 1 point at quarter time.
