IS THE NAVIGATOR ONE OF THE POOR RELATIONS
kjbacon replied to difranco's topic in Regent Seven Seas Cruises
We will be on the Navigator for our first time in about a year (and maybe the last time if the selling rumors are true). We are really looking forward to sailing this intimate ship. -
Just catching up on this but I’m thinking that it can’t be correct that one is not allowed to order two appetizers? Perhaps the server who advised that had a language barrier that hindered communication?
-
That was a true lol for me … rice for spice … ha! I’m not thinking that a good curry benefited much from that sweet pudding! Your blog is so helpful, thank you. I’m a nerd, I admit it, but I’m going to start a notebook because I will never remember all this good stuff.

Our world cruise ‘26 itinerary includes Kochi so extra thanks for the great pictures and helpful info in the shorex. We will take your advice and book the tour that you recommended. It sounds perfect for us, especially with an authentic curry lunch! We also have Goa on our itinerary so if I may ask, were you just ready for a break that day?

Grandeur Live! New York to Barcelona Transatlantic Crossing
kjbacon replied to GMIAC's topic in Regent Seven Seas Cruises
While we had a fabulous trip on the Grandeur a couple months ago, there were several aspects of the ship that were disappointing. Our cabin was terribly noisy in active seas and the self slamming pocket doors were the worst. -
Finally now reading through this wonderful thread. @flossie009 your pictures and descriptions are just fabulous!

We are on the last day to decide between the ‘26 and ‘27 world cruises and we feel we are ready to stay with ‘26. We like the itinerary a little better and we have good friends joining us for one of the African legs. We wouldn’t have even considered ‘27 but the Splendor is our favorite ship. Is anyone else deciding between the two?

Seabourn Quest review from Seabourn newbie
kjbacon replied to alexandria's topic in Seabourn Cruise Line
Our first experience on Quest was disappointing and we will be using our FCC’s in 2024. We will definitely give SB a fair second chance. I’ve been hoping that it will be a much better experience but this thread and the simultaneous thread on Solis has me thinking that might not happen. @alexandria you might want to try regent. -
Grandeur Live! New York to Barcelona Transatlantic Crossing
kjbacon replied to GMIAC's topic in Regent Seven Seas Cruises
Bon voyage @GMIAC looking forward to following along with you! -
Oh no, I am so very sorry this happened to you @crusin7 Sending all our very best to you and your husband for a complete recovery.
-
Your travel agent should be able to arrange that for you.
-
Thank you @crusin7 I am going to start a notebook with all of your helpful info.

The 2026 WC has many similar ports @crusin7 as your WC. I look forward to reading your live thread every morning. Thank you! Your bunny treats pictures are fabulous. Looks like you had a very Happy Easter. Would you recommend the shorex you did in Cochin and Goa? It’s the part of the world that I probably know the very least about.

This is a question that we are wondering about as well. We are holding 2026 on the Mariner and 2 nights at a specialty over all those months seems lacking!

Wow, beautiful, good morning!

Lounge Hogs: Regent's Failure to Act or Respond
kjbacon replied to Las Vegas Sailing's topic in Regent Seven Seas Cruises
Is there any way that Regent can provide more shade on the pool deck? Maybe some kind of riff on one of those wedding tents? -
Lounge Hogs: Regent's Failure to Act or Respond
kjbacon replied to Las Vegas Sailing's topic in Regent Seven Seas Cruises
This was a very serious problem on our recent Grandeur cruise. Chairs were held with books, caps, flip flops, and like items. The norm was that all loungers in the shaded areas were taken by 6am. All that was needed was an officer posted on each side of the pool deck from approx 5:00am to “remind” passengers that they were not permitted to leave their items unattended. -
Know and love macarons 💜 but was hoping to find out about the shiny and plump pastries on the plate. The OP thinks it’s a black currant, yum!
-
I was also able to open it!! Gut reaction? I think I prefer 2026 but would love either. This luscious pastry makes me crave something sweet. Were they filled?
-
Thank you so much for posting this @crusin7 and it is indeed the Splendor, wow, our favorite ship!! I bet the link won’t work until official date of announcement. Earlier you posted your beautiful pictures from high tea. What were those delectable looking lavender treats?

Just booked, but excursions sold out!
kjbacon replied to talljules1's topic in Regent Seven Seas Cruises
That’s very unfair of you and it absolutely is not “clearly deceptive advertising” as you just stated. You waited till the last minute to book this cruise so you need to accept the challenges that come with doing things that way. The shorex booking window for your cruise opened up 8 months ago with full availability on each and every selection. -
Rumor is that the Splendor (our fave ship) is taking the WC.
-
We are so anxious to hear more about the ‘27 WC. Anything more that you remember about the itinerary would be much appreciated!! With the splendor taking over the WC, is the navigator the ship on the chopping block or could it be the mariner? I have no idea but it makes me wonder.
