  1. With Carnival's card you get double points for charges from other Carnival Corp brands. But your points can only be applied toward Carnival Cruise Lines charges.
  2. All the ships should currently have this. Pizza, chicken tenders, grilled ham and cheese sandwiches, meatball sandwiches hips, chips and salsa, cookies I believe.
  3. Now I'm not @chengkp75, but I'd venture to say that ship isnt going anywhere until at least temporary repairs are made and signed off on by the relevant authorities. Even then they may have to fly passengers out of Jamaica and sail with crew only to whatever drydock can work in a complete repair.
  4. It's an 18% surcharge either way. If you order ahead of time they call it a deliver fee (although they don't actually deliver anything because you order the bottles you want in the MDR or at a bar) or if you buy onboard they call it a gratuity.
  5. Before paid upgrades became such a big business for the cruiselines, some people got free upgrades to categories that weren't selling well (cabin A) to open up rooms in cheaper categories that were more likely to sell (cabin B). Those were the original "upgrades". Now that the cruiselines have figured out how to monetize the move from cabin A to cabin B, some purists say that only free upgrades (which are very rare these days) are "upgrades", vs. paying to move to a better (at least in the cruiseline's view) cabin which is an "upsell".
  6. I don't think the stereotypical Carnival passenger, nor many people at all, go on a cruise to eat carrot and celery sticks. If anything, they'll be hangry that those are the only available snack options available.
  7. With all those needs, sounds like YTD isn't for you in the first first and you should be doing assigned dining.
  8. This! My regular heath insurance coverage extends outside the US, so if I have to go to the medical center I get a copy of my paperwork, including diagnosis and procedure codes, while I'm still onboard so I have everything I need to file a claim when I get home.
  9. And in most circumstances Carnival pays duty free prices on alcohol. Bottom line, their markup on alcohol is huge, and even at 15 drinks a day they're probably close to breaking even selling Cheers. Other than soda and juice (most of which is juice cocktail on Carnival anyway), they simply can't markup non-alcoholic drinks as much as alcohol, which puts everything-but-alcohol drink packages priced higher than most people would pay if Carnival is to make money on them.
  10. Years ago they had Goldfish crackers at the bars. They went away when noro outbreaks became a big thing and never came back. Free sushi, which was (sometimes) a nice pre-dinner snack, went away years ago. Taste, which had hors d'oeuvre size portions of food from specialty restaurants fleetwide went away years ago. See a pattern? With Carnival cutting every penny of food cost possible, down to non-edible garnishes, and sending the bacon on vacation, I don't see any kind of free pre-dinner snack in the future. If people are hungry enough, Guy's and the deli are open prior to and through the beginning of YTD.
  11. You can request distilled water for a CPAP ahead of time in the Dietary Request section of online check-in (only on Princess' website though, not on the app as far as I can tell).
  12. No difference between the documentation required to sail and to get off the ship in ports. It would however be a good idea to bring a copy of the legal paperwork giving your GF sole custody, especially if her ex is the vindictive type who might claim she is taking (or even abducting) the daughter to Mexico without his consent.
  13. 8 appetizers and 13 mains, with 2 of them rotating, makes OP's complaint look a bit petty.
  14. Royal's app usually works pretty well, but when i was boarding Harmony in Galveston last month the app just kept spinning when I tried to pull up my boarding pass to check in (and it wasn't my phone--I had a 4G or 5G signal and most or all bars). Luckily I had a printed a boarding pass a backup. Same reason I try to get a printed boarding pass for flights even if I plan to use the boarding pass on my phone. Plus if I need something from a gate agent, it's simplest just to hand them a boarding pass.
  15. I didn't say I wanted the package. Just responding to the people who want a package that includes all non-alcoholic drinks.
  16. You'll have to call Carnival and see if they can move you to a cabin with two uppers.
  17. People have requested this before. John Heald says the beards have looked at the numbers and the economics just don't work to price such a package at a price where people would actually buy it. Other cruiselines have such a package though. If you read between the lines, you can see that Carnival's markup on alcoholic drinks is enormous.
  18. We need more info... Are you one person booked in an upper/lower interior, looking to add another? If so, yes* Are you two people booked an upper/lower interior, looking to add another? If so, no. Are you two people booked in a regular interior with one upper, looking to add another? If so, yes* Are you three people booked in a regular interior with one upper, looking to add another? If so, no * Caveat: Adding more people to a cabin than you initially booked is always subject to the sailing and muster station not being at or close to capacity. Obviously if either is at capacity, you can't add more people. Even if either is just close to capacity, if there are still empty cabins the cruise lines will prevent existing reservations from adding more passengers so they can use the remaining capacity to sell the remaining cabins.
  19. It does cut off (or at least it did for me once) after buying a drink or two (and it was only like 1:30; I was planning to go to the muster station after that drink and in plenty of time before the deadline). I guess if they blocked the S&S from even opening cabin doors (if that's possible), that would be the only almost foolproof way to get people to check in at their muster stations.
  20. Never going to happen because we all know how many people will get one package per cabin and then share drinks,
  21. Now you've moved the backup that used to happen at check-in in the terminal to the ship. And it becomes harder to prevent people from going to their cabins before the time they're officially ready.
  22. Are you confirmed for YTD, or just assuming you'll get that if your waitlist doesn't clear? Asking because YTD is usually the second most popular and late seating is the least popular. If you're close to sail date and/or it's a holiday or summer sailing with lots of kids (and third and fourth beds occupied), late seating may the only thing actually available.
