  1. I suspect they will be totally doing away with them. Princess no longer gives out bags even for Suite passengers. My guess is as they run out on each ship that will be the end of that perk.
  2. You should be able to see this on the American Airlines app since part of the flights are with AA. It will also show if it has been ticketed. I am not aware of how you can see it on HAL.
  3. Besides MSC that matches any other lines status Royal Caribbean /Celebrity are pretty much the only other cruise lines that does the Loyalty Match that I am aware but you cannot be in the lower level of the Loyalty tiers with Crown and Anchor or Captain's Club it starts with Platinum and Captain's Club it starts with Select. There are several categories below both of these that are not matched. Als the NCLH Group of NCL, Regent and Oceania also do NOT do a Status match. I am one that agrees that it would never work between the CCL brands. Way too many in the high tiers with HAL, PCL and CCL. My opinion that MSC does this is so that they get a following from North America and those frequent cruisers from other brands may spend their money on MSC.
  4. Anytime after final and you have paid in fully you can request ticketing. The keyword here is REQUEST because they unfortunately do not always do as requested but I have seen them do it early.
  5. They say that but that is not true, HAL allows you to book this yourself on line a Travel Agent can assist but Flightease is technically between the passenger and Flight Ease. Air is not commissionable to the Travel Agent nor Agency makes no money from the flights. The line they give is their typical line they use when they do not want to handle a problem. Flight Ease is a Third party vendor assoicated with Holland America, they use different names depending on the cruise line they are dealing with. There was a time that HAL had employees that did the Air and worked and lived in Seattle but that is no longer the case.
  6. That is too bad the price is such a huge difference, you are lucky AA talked to you but sounds like you need to talk with HAL. To be truthful your TA is not going to get any further than you will they will get the same run around. But you do need to get this fixed right away the sooner the better since they did totally cancel your flight. Don't be surprised if they don't try to place you on flights that are not nearly has good as you had previously chosen and different airlines . Sadly sometimes price is not worth the hassle and possible continued problems. You can try calling 800-628-4771 and see if you can get someone to assist with HAL.
  7. This is a very common thing happening with Flightease, If it before your penalty with HAL? I would cancel the flights and just book directly with American Airlines. You will then have control of your flights. I have seen many times where Flightease just cancels the air if they see a change then passes off that the airline did this where in fact it was Flightease that canceled the flight. I could be wrong but I think they have agents that go in when there is changes and just cancels and looks for cheaper flights allowing Flight Ease to make more money. Often times flights are canceled when there was not change by the airlines and or was already corrected by the airlines then after they cancel this they cannot find a flight. Trust me there are so many horror stories with Flightease and Princess EZ Air (they are one in the same) When you do attempt to call Flightease you are calling a call center in the Phillipines some work at the call center while others work from home where you often hear farm animals. But sadly many times nothings gets accomplished and it is just all things that should not have happened. If you can cancel and book yourself please do. This way if there is a last minute flight cancellation while enroute you are in control with the airline. If booked through Flightease it is a third party vendor and the airline many times will not talk to you especially if the third party vendor (HAL FLightease) made the changes.
  8. I am basically looking for the same answer as you and hoping someone knows the answer. I am sailing on the Encore in February, I booked the Ocean Villa, we were to arrive on a Monday, the NCL switch up our itinerary. We now were at GSC on Saturday the last day of the cruise. For many weeks it showed my Booked Silver Cove Ocean Villa for Monday, well they finally moved it to Friday. But it now says it is a Beach Villa. My concern was our ship will be at GSC with Prima and was afraid we would not get our ocean Villa. By search on NCL s website it appears they changed the name of the Ocean Villa to Beach Villa. Just wondered if anyone knew for sure what is going on. Thanks
  9. No its the "They don't really measure up to HAL" I am commenting on. Unless you have sailed on NCL how would you know???
  10. When was last time you sailed on NCL? Do you have first hand eperience and knowledge or is it hear ay? Just curious??
  11. As well as Suites with NCL and the Haven is Night and Day different Experience from HAL. Far premium experience from NCL with price point being pretty much the same for the same itinerary and number of days. While it is a year since I was last on NCL Haven Suite I will be returning this weekend and can have a fresh experience of what NCL offers to Suite.
  12. Yes saw that, unfortunately I would not book a cruise on the Volendam, I have cruised on her once and have no plans to cruise on her again. Plus it would definitely not work with the number of days I can take. While I am well past retirement age I still work full time with two jobs and one of my jobs working in Auto Finance would not allow me to be gone that long. My ideal 11 day cruise would be starting on a Wednesday from the West Coast and ending on Sunday that way I am only taking 8 work days off.
  13. Thanks for everyones comments, I do not get a chance to come into CC that often. I was thrilled to see HAL finally get more itineraries listed. Especially for West Coast Sailings. I actualy had booked prior to this for December 2023 for an 11 day Southern Caribbean on the Eurodam, I liked the itinerary and dates were good for my works schedule Plus I booked when they still had the Early Booking Sale with all the very good perks with Have it All. Thought the price was excellent for a Signature Suite but I actually wanted to see what if any they would have for Sea of Cortez for any longer cruises. I figured if I could get a 11 day from San Diego I could save a day with travel. I was excited to see a nice 11 day itinerary for December but the day of the week it started made it so I had to take an extra day off work. It ends on Saturday rather than Sunday like the Eurodam does although I still need the extra day with flying to FLL but the deciding factor with staying with Eurodam rather than Koningsdam. The price for the Signature Suite was almost a total of $1900 less with Eurodam plus has the pre paid gratuities and a lot more ship board credit. Plus to be honest I prefer the Signature Suite on the Eurodam. While the Pinnacle Class ships are beautiful, the staterooms with the exception of the Neptune Suites are terrible in my opinion. It just does not excite me to return to the Koningsdam. With the saving about $2700 total with what I booked we are much better staying with the Eurodam. It surprised me that HAL priced the West Coast Sailings so high with less perks.
  14. Sorry I do not come into CC that often and I went back 3 pages and saw no mention. I only received notification this afternoon. Just trying to be helpful. Iguess I was not, Probably best for me to stay out of CC.
  15. Open for Booking — 2023–24 Hawaii, Mexico, Panama & Pacific Coast Cruises Although offer not has good as the Early Booking Bonus that has ended. https://www.hollandamerica.com/en_US/find-a-cruise.html?camp=CME:20221021_HEP2247MP3_USD&rmid=20221021_HEP2247MP3_USD&rrid=1248661142&lid=primarycta&XID=HEMV211020226413#{!tag=itineraryidTag}itineraryId=L3O07C,M3S12A,T4P28B,T4P14B,L3T01B,T3P20C,T3P31A,L3T04D,T3P16C,T3P27A,L3O04A,T4P24A,T4P29A,L4O06A,T4P22A,T4P28A,T4P17A,T4P27A,T4P15C,T4P21A,T4P14A,L4O07A,T4P20A,T4P21B,L4O11A,L4O07B,L4T05A,L4P04A,L4T06A,L4P05A,L4T01A,T4P15B,T4P15A,M3S24A,M4R14A,M3R07D,M3S12B,M3S11A,M3S10D,M4R07A,M3R05A,T3P20B,T3P27B,L3O07D,L3T05A,T3P22A,T3P15B,T3P32A,T3P21C,L3H05A,H3H23A,H3H21A,H3H17B,H3H16A,H3H18C,H3H30A,H4H22A,H4H24A,H4H18A,H4H17A&&&&&&&&start=0
  16. I agree it will not accomplish what they want it to but with that being said I personally think they are going about it totally wrong to bring back cruisers. I think HAL has kind of lost their way and are running in the wrong direction. I think they need to step back and look what made them so successful in the late 1990's into the early to mid 2000's On Board Profit wise HAL was doing their best in 2004 to 2010. Other cruise lines are doing much better right now, that is not to say they are all in the black (which none of them are) but other cruise lines are seeing a glimmer of a light in that long tunnel ahead. I think HAL is NOT even close to this point.
  17. The Crew Incentive and Ship Board Credit were never technically part of Have It All, they were simply July Early Booking Bonus that was extended and then extended several more times. That was never part of the Actual Have it All promotion, Plus not all sailings included this Early Booking Bonus, none of the last minute sailings included this. I do beleive that this will end on October 12th then expect they will come up with something similar around the 19th or 20th. They usually only go a week without any extra promotion. Who knows maybe there will be some more late 2023 and 2024 itineraries finally released and they will add a promotion to them. Not much is going to change because frankly their marketing department is not that creative and we know that the next sale will not be a bargain or a huge savings. They cannot afford to do that.
  18. I think the reason they are talking about the Casino offer and comparing it is that this offer is very similar and works very much the same. Both a Casino offer requires a $200.00 non refundable deposit that with the Casino offering the $200.00 cash back to you as Casino play money, with this offer it comes back to you as ship board credit. The details and rules are both very similar. As well as the cost for upgrading is also the same. These offers are more alike than they are different. In conclusion just my personal opinion HAL is getting desperate. They need to fill cabins, they have quotas to meet and prove to CCL Corp that they are selling berths. It is an old proven fact that if they can get them on the ship many will spend more on board, especially if they did not spend much for the cruise to begin with. HAL is trying to generate as much possible Future revenue as they can. But it brings up the question of why they are not opening up more itineraries for later 2023???
  19. My husband has been getting these offers weekly since we came home from the Rotterdam in July. He has never set foot in a ship casino to gamble, he also seldom ever spends any money on board. I am the only one who spends the money usually for spa. His side of the spending is usually zero. These emails never come to me but I know the reason for that. The only thing I can think of is that we do not currently have a Holland America Cruise booked and we are just 11 days away from 300 days with HAL and if we do a 11 day cruise we will also hit 5 Star. I have been chalking it up to the fact he is not currently booked for a Future cruise and has several Future Cruise Deposit under his Mariner number. It does not matter last cruise was booked with a Travel Agent or direct with HAL but he has never been booked directly with HAL only with a Travel Agent..
  20. That does not make any sense if they are saying no new roll out for 18 months, since right now all that is available is Alaska and Europe end of season which is 12 months from right now. There are very few cruises with HAL for Late October, November and December 2023. I honestly have never seen them release sailings this late. I really want to know what the sailings will be for the West Coast for late 2023 before I pull the trigger on a Caribbean cruise. I already have a cruise out of Miami with NCL in February, really don't want another cross country flight for fall.
  21. I have to agree somewhat. I have Future Cruise deposits to burn but the main reason is we are within 2, 7 day cruises of reaching both 5 Star and 300 day medallion. That was our goal many years ago. Our next three cruises are not with HAL. But I do not want to book anymore cruises till I can figure out what HAL is attempting to do.Most all cruise lines are booking late 2024. There are so many great choices out there. I get the feeling HAL thinks their base is so loyal they will just book Holland America and if they have the urge to book they will just book cruises sooner rather than later bringing cash revenue into them sooner.
  22. I have been waiting for a few months now for more HAL cruises to be released for late 2023. I had spoke with someone in the know in July about it and they stated by Late September. It is now October 2nd and very few cruises listed, and absolutely nothing from the West Coast??? I honestly do not remember it being this late. I know they have a few Caribbean sailings listed but even those seem sparse. Many dates are missing. certainly those ships are not all chartered.
  23. The cushions on the chairs would appear if the weather was good. This was an Alaska cruise I was on.I think a lot depends on the itinerary. It sounds terrible to say but I honestly do not remember if there was a fridge but I think there might have been.
  24. Yes, that was me who posted the picture of the Lanai cabin o the Volendam. I have to amit I actually liked the stateroom and location. We had originally booked a Vista Suite for that Alaska cruise but was told due to a glitch with the booking system they over sold Vista Suites and needed to move people. I declined the first offer but stated if I could have a better offer for a Lanai I would take it. Another week or two passes and they made me an offer I could not refuse. I think if there are no Vista Suites or cost is an issue the lanai is a great alternative. The only negative is people walking by and trying to look into your stateroom and or at night you must remember to keep the curtains closed. Other than that it was all good.
