  1. Exactly, the On Your Own tour for Capri is just an overpriced ferry ride back and forth with a guide keeping you all together. They use the same ferry as everyone else. Actually I have seen an X group on the ferry over to Capri once. So they don´t have their own boats. steamboats
  2. You don't need to worry about the return trip with the ferry. Just buy the return ticket at Marina Grande in Capri for a ferry back to Naples (there are two companies and they have different times). There are plenty of boats offering trips around the island. So no need to book with a tour company. All boats pass by the Blue Grotto where you can optionally (additional fee) go inside (you need to change boats). I usually use the public bus up to Anacapri. The ticket booth and bus terminal is right at the Marina Grande. I buy all the tickets I need for the day. Like one up to Anacapri, one for Anacapri to Capri town, one for the funicolar down to Marina Grande. steamboats
  3. Just walk over to the ferry terminal and take the ferry on your own. The ship tours do use the same ferries. steamboats
  4. Nick Weir dropped a couple of hints on Twitter. steamboats
  5. Nick Weir gave another hint on Twitter for The Wizzard of Oz. steamboats
  6. Just can simply take the ferry from Naples to Capri. At Capri Port (Marina Grande) there are lots of boats waiting for boat trips around the island. The (highly overrated) Blue Grotto has to be paid extra and you have to change to a smaller row boat. It´s optional on the boat trips around the island. steamboats
  7. @Steff79 basically for you as the interview is in German - but others can try an automatic translation service - it´s about the Norwegian Prima and how they observe the critics. steamboats
  8. @cruisemom42 it´s Roman theatre and yes, the tour ended up there. The plants are basil, strawberries and tomatoes which are grown there. All are very popular in restaurants in the area. There are also experiments with orchids, bromelia and other flowers. steamboats
  9. We once did the Napoli Sotterranea. You can see some impressions here. steamboats
  10. I just double checked the fine print of the MSC website (German version). It acutally says you have to reapply for a membership. For a Classic member you need at least 1 point and only as a Classic Member you get the 5%. steamboats
  11. Azipods are electric too but somewhere the electricity has to come from ;-). steamboats
  12. That would be a huge battery pack... 🤣 steamboats
  13. @CruisingDaff we only had 3 people, me, my DH and another woman. So we were extremely lucky and had a very personal tour. We once did a private food tour in Ibiza town and ended up with a chef and just us. I love to experience local food. steamboats
  14. I think you don´t have to reapply but you points are going down to 0 and you start with the lowest level again. steamboats
  15. As the OP was asking for electrical outlets near the bed I didn´t mention those on the vanity desk. But you´ll find photos in my cabin review ;-). steamboats
  16. Yes, on Beyond there is one electrical outlet on the "non window" side of the bed plus two USB ports - see here. I missed to take a photo of the USB outlets in the foot of the lamps on the night stand. steamboats
  17. Those who are playing Fortnite can enjoy The Hideaway and Thrill Island as virtual world. DH gave it a try, so here´s what´s to see (or some screen shots here). steamboats
  18. We once booked with Food Tours of Naples (they have changed the tour a bit skipping the lunch in a restaurant - here´s my review). The tour us now called "Naples Street Food Tour". The starting point is still Piazza Bellini - an easy walk from port. The tour was a lot of fun for us and we discovered food we wouldn´t have tried. And we know Naples pretty well. steamboats
  19. @Steff79 Noise Boys are still on but only for this or the next week. Then the cast is leaving. That´s what I read on another thread. There won´t be a new cast coming. The second Donna Summer cast just came on. steamboats
  20. No, the ship has its own sattelite network and your phone will connect to that. Land based phone/internet service does only work as long as you are close to land (usually within 3 miles). steamboats
  21. The buffet restaurant is definitely undersized. We are usually not eating at the peak times for breakfast and had several occasions where we only got a table outside or outside Palomar or in Food Republic. Indulge Food Hall has different offers and is an addition to the classic buffet restaurant. But when you are more on the healthy eater side Indulge Food Hall is not really an option. steamboats
  22. There´s an ATM onboard where you can get Euro on Med sailings. Not sure whether they still change onboard or just tell you to use the ATM. steamboats
  23. ArriveCAN was skipped Oct 1st, 2022. steamboats
  24. Café Sacher or Café Demel are the best ones in Vienna. steamboats
