  1. Hello, my sister and I are booked on her casino offer. The pay 100, get that 100 back. Pay port fees and tips.  There could be a problem for her with the timing of this cruise due to unexpected circumstances.  Will we both have to cancel?  What happens if it's last minute?  What happens with a no show?  Thanks so much.

  2. Hello, I spent 41 nights on HAL last year, and 20 of those on the Rotterdam. I also spent 20 nights on Carnival last year. It was a great year for my cruising.  I love HAL, it's a notch or two above Carnival. FOR me, HAL has steps into the pool, which is something I need. The food is better, the children are less, it's a 'more adult' kind of cruise.

Carnival has the best sail away party, HAL will be quiet and more reserved.  You always see and hear the Carnival CD, you will not get the same from HAL. I love longer cruises, advantage HAL. I wish you the best of luck whatever you deside. I would suggest giving HAL a try. Any questions feel free to ask. Debbie

Good morning from sunny Quartzsite.  A little later today, we'll be heading to Parker to the grocery store and the big box store.

I haven't made a cherry pie in about 20+ years.  DH likes them, but they are not my favorite.  There is no need to shout Hoodie Hoo in the southwestern desert.  Will celebrate love your pet days even though the seven cats and two dogs DH and I had have crossed the Rainbow Bridge.    We miss them all, but especially Brandy and Nikki.  Brandy was the smaller of the two, but she was definitely the Boss including to us.

I like the Albert Einstein quote.  Without imagination a lot of things would never have been invented.

We'll pass on the meal (not tofu fans), drink and wine.

Was sorry to read the Queen has Covid.  Hope it remains a mild case.

@kazu  Sorry you could not make it into see DH yesterday, but you chose the safest course of action.

@cat shepard  Love the pictures with the animal babies.

@sassy~one  Debbie, congratulations on the upcoming cruise on NS.

@mamaofami  Glad Sam is painting and framing his work.

@Cruzin Terri  Terri great that you are still pain free.

@ger_77  Gerry, happy you dodged the bad weather.

@GTVCRUISER  Bon Voyage.  That will be our ship in two weeks.

We have been to Trondheim twice.   The first time was in 2005 on Marco Polo and the second was 2011 on Prinsendam.  For some reason CC is not letting me upload the pictures of Trondheim.  I'll post them later today after we get back from Parker.

    Lenda

    Thanks so much.

I just got a call from medical who told me there is a thermometer in my mailbox, so I stepped out in the hallway (FREEDOM!) to get it…they want me to check my temp daily.  Anyway, looking down the hall, every room I can see to the end both ways has food trays with cardboard container trash in front of them.  So we’re talking at least 20+ rooms that I can see before the little bend in the hall that are occupied with isolators.  And it also appears that they only rarely get the trash.  I don’t know if ships have rats anymore, but if so they got a buffet on deck 6.

NO on rats!! I mean please no!! Keep posting I think it's helping you.  I am heading for the airport in a bit, so no more posts from me. Praying and sending positive vibes to you and yours.  Debbie

Keep in mind that NCL is the smallest of the 3 main cruise line companies.  RCL and CCL  have a number of cruise ships that have not yet restarted  that they are using as quarantine ships  (with each companies lines sharing ships) For example HAL off loaded crew to Quarantine on the Crown Princess.  Celebrity and Royal are doing the same with Royal ships. Those ships also provided some surplus crew to move to the ships that lost crew.

Not sure that NCL has the same surplus capacity.

Stories are showing that the other lines are having problems finding hotels on land for quarantining passengers in Florida.

So if they do not a ship to quarantine crew, and no ships getting ready to start up from which to get more crew.  About their only choice is to start canceling individual cruises.  Not a surprise that they would run out of extra resources first.

Hi there, can you please let me know, if someone leaves the ship and need to be in quarantined, how do they get to a hotel? Who finds the hotel? Who pays for the hotel?  I have not seen anything about this.  I'm b2b2b in a few days, and have a healthy amount of fear about being kicked off the ship in the middle of my sailing with limited amount of FLL hotel info. Thanks so very much.  Debbie
