  1. Too much negativity here. It's not just about the food, which is fine. It's about the interaction with the waiters and assistant waiters It's about sharing a time with family and special fiends It's about enjoying being served and not complaining about everything Enjoy!
  2. Will do. I can tell you we were able to use it for a Chops lunch on Anthem a few months ago. The price difference between lunch and dinner is pretty substantial.
  3. Yeah, we'll be on Oasis in a couple of weeks and hope for a BOGO lunch at Giovanni's. Hope it works.
  4. Totally agree about the Double Points Promotion which created hordes of new Diamonds and thousands if not millions of free drinks. This, however, is one cancelled cruise due to mechanical issues. The cost would be minimal.
  5. The chart shows the BOGO to be available for dinner. In the past, we've used it for lunch. Is this a change?
  6. Seriously, what is the cost to RCCL to give C&A points? When our 8 night voyage was reduced to 5 nights due to a threat of Covid (later shown to be unfounded), we received credit for the entire eight nights.
  7. Thank you. By any chance does anyone have a copy of the updated amenity choices, especially the wine? Seems like they were out of quite a few. I wonder if that has been resolved.
  8. The biggest losers (IMHO) over the last decade have been D+ members. We also enjoyed the CL on Anthem until we were tossed out. Also gone... bridge tours, meal with an officer (now cheers), galley tours, priority check-in, beer removed as an amenity, etc.. Yet, we still have some nice perks... three free bottles of wine, 10 drinks a day (for both of us), free photos, laundry, balcony discount, etc.. Maybe it's inertia, but (for now) we're sticking with RCCL.
  9. I was also a fan of Mickey Mantle. One night, sitting in the upper deck behind third base in a fairly empty stadium, Mickey hit a foul ball directly at me. I put my hands out and the ball went right through my hands... and into the folded seat in front of me. Just sitting there. Of course, I can't prove Mickey hit it but I know. Have a program autographed by Mel Allen and Red Barber. You're probably too young to remember them.
  10. Might as well take advantage of the freebie. Growing up in NYC, I was a fan of Yogi and the Yankees but, alas, Yogimax is a reference to our two adopted Manx cats who were "discarded" at the door of the Animal Medical Center in Manhattan. They brought our family much love and joy! A Yogi-ism... "He hits from both sides of the plate. He’s amphibious."
  11. If you are D+, you can also get, at least, one bottle of wine as your amenity coice.
  12. With supply remaining fairly constant only reducing demand will bring prices down. The significantly higher prices may actually begin the process to stabilize/reduce prices. I use the word "may" since it seems some people are oblivious to cost and will pay anything.
  13. It's certainly not a "majority opinion." It's your subjective belief. I happen to like the Central Park balconies as do many others. Again, the OP has already made their choice. How is telling them it's a bad choice (your opinion) helpful to them?
  14. Deck 14 can be quite noisy with the overly loud music.
  15. They still have the 8 ounce Filet Mignon, Beef Carpaccio, Mushroom Soup, etc. The price difference between lunch and dinner makes lunch the obvious choice for those of us concerned with cost.
  16. We're D+ on RCCL and this was our first time on HAL. Was surprised by the age of the passegers. It was balanced, not overly elderly. You wlll enjoy Eurodam. Thought the food was good, especially the steak iin the MDR. We hung out alot in the Crow's Nest where the naturalist will probably be. There is also a bar/coffee bar there if you have a drink package. Enjoy!
  17. Do you really think they knew about the sewage leak ahead of time and did nothing about it?
  18. Got off Eurodam two weeks ago. Sadly, the classical music was gone. Totally gone. It was a major disappointment as were the shows.
  19. We also appreciated the Sunday church service. Also liked the Crow's Nest with an amazing collection of games for kids and adults.
  20. Are you sure? Just off Eurodam and I'm pretty sure bottles of water counted toward the 15. Can't say for sure because we never approached the 15 limit.
  21. What nonsense... and potentially dangerous advice. Are you a doctor?
  22. No one knows for sure. The assumption is often made that the long lines at the purser's desk on the last day of the cruise is filled with those removing tips. It's the case, however, that many are looking for different luggage tags, taking care of billing differences, etc., etc.. I don't know either but my hope is that those who remove tips are few and far between.
