Oh my gosh….how disgusting. Truly makes you wonder what you don’t see. These people just don’t stop and think. THEY ARE NOT AT HOME!!!!! That leads me to wonder how they live. Gross to even think about it!

Have you eaten at the Salty Dog Gastropub? If so, what meal was awful?

I am currently on Discovery Princess and I saw the most repulsive disgusting thing I have ever seen any passenger ever do on any cruise ship…. In the buffet there was a tray that had ketchup, mustard, soy sauce, malt vinegar bottles….etc Some man walked right up to the tray, grabbed the malt vinegar and unscrewed the cap and put the bottle opening in his mouth and poured vinegar in his mouth. He acted like that was a completely acceptable action and he put cap back on and walked away. I couldn’t just pretend I didn’t see it…..I had to get a worker and report the issue. I urged him to please throw that bottle away. Really makes you stop and think…..what happens that you don’t see! No wonder Noro and Covid are still an issue! Absolutely not the cruise lines fault.

That’s awesome! I asked our cabin attendant on day 1, day 3 he came back and said they were out. So I went to customer service on day 3 and they said there weren’t any available. I asked why my request that I completed on the app months ago wasn’t honored but they had no answer other than to say they were sorry.

I just got off a 28 day cruise on Crown. Yes it’s an older ship but they are taking great care of her. We had a fabulous time. I have been on 30 Princess cruises and I have to say the staff on the Crown Princess this cruise were by far the best crew EVER! They went above and beyond all the time.

I just got off the 28 day sailing on Crown this morning and I ordered one in the app and never got. I was told they were out. The. newer Royal class ships have the handheld for sure. Older ships do not have handheld. First stop in Hawaii we went to a Walmart and bought one and my hubby also bought a wrench and we installed our own. It worked excellent. We will take it with us anytime we sail on an older ship. Doesn’t take up much room in suitcase compared to the convenience of having a handheld in shower.

I am currently on Crown and loving your thread. Excellent job! So appreciate this! We have so much planned for this trip and we were just going to get off in Hilo and shop at the port. Based on your pictures showing the building with all the benches, does that mean there is nothing to do right there at port?

I was on Enchanted Princess in December 2022 on 2 - 10 day B2B cruises and they notified our friends that they were at a blackjack table the last few nights with a couple that tested positive for Covid.

I feel the wording of these packages was in poor choice by Princess. There is Princess Plus package which is $60 and includes all drinks, gratuities and WI-FI. Plus Beverage Package is $76.69 and is just for drinks. I know it’s confusing and I really think Princess should change the names to be different enough that we don’t confuse them.

Hi Rick and Jeannie, I have read this exact same thing on other posts and reviews. I’ve seen pictures as well, it doesn’t even look good. It’s going to be a complete waste of money for Princess. The picture I saw had 3 large suckers in it. Who would eat that giant ice cream mess and then continue on with 3 different large suckers. Honestly, I found it ridiculous and a waste of food. It’s terrible that Princess won’t give us a couple chocolates on our pillow, a bar of soap for the shower or those blue tote bags BUT…….they’ll make those ridiculous desserts with 3 suckers that will no doubt go straight to the trash can.

Oh my gosh…….thank you so much for going so far above and beyond for me. I totally appreciate what you’ve done. Your pictures are perfect. So so so sorry you had to find someone else’s panty hose. 😵‍💫

Arctickitty, I have one more question, are there power outlets on each side of the bed around the night stands? My DH uses a CPAP machine so I am wondering if there will be an outlet for him to plug in his machine. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE! I am hoping you have a smooth sail back to San Pedro. Thank you so much for taking all of this time during your vacation to keep all of us updated. You have done a terrific job detailing everything.

Arctickitty or anyone on board, could you possibly take a picture of the table and chairs by the Salty Dog Grill and/or Slice Pizza by the windows? We are going to be on Crown soon and we thoroughly enjoy sitting on Lido looking outside the windows and into the pool areas for hours at a time. It’s a great way for us to relax and enjoy Lido without being in the sun. We also typically eat our lunch at the grill or Slice. Was just wondering what the sitting was like and is it comfortable. THANK YOU SO MUCH IN ADVANCE!!!

Thrak, That was a great story. I am so glad you went in the water. What a great memory! I would love Princess to build a brand new SMALL ship for these exact types of ports. It would be so cool to have a new small ship to book and sail. I like the smaller ships. These giant Royal class ships feel way too large and now they are building even larger. I think there is a lot to be desired in a small ship.

Here are my favorite drinks on Princess in this order: Frozen Blue Hawaiian, Frozen Miami Vice and Dirty Banana. They are all excellent so it was very hard to order them. You can’t go wrong with any of these. ENJOY!

Hi Thrak, They dropped Bora Bora off our itinerary after we had this booked and our hearts set on going. I am very bummed about it but I understand. I am still very excited. From my research, it does appear that cruise ships are getting to dock in Apia now but I would take Bora Bora any day.

Marden1970…….I will be on the 3/17/23 cruise also and as I was reading through everyone’s favorite cruise, I thought the same as you, it may turn out to be my favorite. With that said, to date, I have to say my favorite cruise was in 2002 when my hubby and I got married on Celebrity Summit and cruised on through the Panama Canal. We’ve since been on 29 Princess cruises and they have all been wonderful but my most memorable was our first Princess cruise on Ruby in 2015 and that was a RT out of LA to Hawaii.

Thank you so much for this info. I will be boarding Crown on March 17th. Did the showers have shower wands in the shower or were they just shower heads? I’ve recently been on Sky and Enchanted and they have shower wands which is much easier to shower and rinse off in those tiny shower stalls. Did you enjoy the ship?
