  1. Even the "worst" aft-facing suite is still sweet. 😊
  2. Deck 13 has the smallest aft-facing balconies and you still enjoyed lounging. Imagine being on a huge balcony such as deck 9 or 12.
  3. If you want the largest balconies, you want some of the aft-facing suites. For me, nothing is lost by being at the opposite end of the ship and a few decks down. Others may feel differently. Having 2 full bathrooms with a large balcony is better for us than the 2BR Family suite that's located within the Haven enclave. Personally, I would book directly instead of bidding. I'm particular when it comes to balcony size and stateroom configuration of the aft-facing suites.
  4. I agree. Also, 8136 (port side equivalent) is bed near closet. It is surrounded by bed near balcony on both sides.
  5. There's nothing really wrong with 19040. I'd probably avoid 19046 since it's the last one and shares a wall with "the outside". Overall, I try to avoid being directly under a sundeck but other than that, there shouldn't be a problem with deck 19. Maybe others who have stayed on 19 can comment.
  6. Escape/Joy/Bliss/Encore are built with the same configurations and sizes for aft-facing. The stateroom numbers are different, though. If someone wants an aft-facing balcony on Bliss with the bed near the closet, it can be done.
  7. The link shows Escape 15286 which is bed near closet. The NCL rep that claimed that ALL aft-facing B1s were bed near balcony is clearly mistaken. Bliss 14284 is bed near balcony.

  9. I don't think that anyone at the port bothers to check what your assigned time is.

  11. I made the lists myself using photos that I've taken, photos posted by others, and reviews from others. Stateroom numbers vary slightly for the BA Plus class but the physical configurations and sizes are the same for the aft-facing staterooms when it comes to Escape/Joy/Bliss/Encore. I don't always have the lists with me so sometimes I'm going by memory. If anything is wrong, I make corrections. 😉
  12. The mattress for the pullman can be placed on the floor at night for the 3 year-old. The mattress can then be put back and folded up during the day.
  13. As noted above, there are 2 pools that are close to each other as well as a splash area. The "all ages" pool and the play area. The teens will be fine in this pool. The little ones will be in the "climb & slide" area. The tiny ones (no diapers allowed) will be in this area. The adults will be in this area. (photo credit to JimZim/Spaniel Lover)
  14. 14282 - bed near balcony 14284 - bed near balcony 14286 - bed near closet
  15. Long story short...... I had a couple of cruises booked and paid for before the pandemic caused MSC to cancel both cruises. I took the option of FCC which was 125% of the cruise fare. The taxes and deposit were refunded to the original form of payment. I decided to use the larger FCC on a 2022 cruise on Seashore. With prices going up and down, I jumped on a low price and put down a deposit. After my cruise became eligible for the 5% + 15% discount, the total due was less than the amount of FCC. Since the entire FCC can only be applied to 1 cruise and I didn't want a larger/more expensive stateroom, I had a negative balance (they owed me) after making final payment when I applied the FCC. Some people in a similar situation were told that the overpayment would be returned after the cruise. Some people in a similar situation were told that the overpayment would be converted to OBC. Some people in a similar situation were told that the overpayment would just disappear and would never be seen again. In my case, the overpayment amount was deposited to my bank account on the 2nd day of the cruise. My cruise on Seashore (2022) was less "out of pocket" than I would have paid for the cancelled cruise on Seaside (2020) even though the staterooms were practically identical (exact same itinerary). Many complain when MSC gets things wrong so it's only fair to post when MSC gets things right. ☺️
